Still concerned? Until a large number of investors outside the IRS have confirmed my e-honor, I'm willing to cascade up to a sufficient investment amount. (AKA you send me 100, I send you it back, then 200k, etc etc.) If you want something like this, just let me know and I'm up for it.

This is for the obvious problem in offering my own corpmates as references. This sort of thing has to be built up. Also, I'm not a freelancer inside IRS. This is Euphoric and Strangelove is our "official" industrialist who buys ore, provides bots to corp, etc. I know, even talking like this just gets the commies all riled up :-).

That's called getting hustled.

There are a couple options I see that can make the ewar more balanced.

1. reduce the speed of ewar back down to the average speed of that bot type (Light, mech etc..). they dont need it because they have the longer locking range already, and since
they are specialized ewar modes can increase with skills.

or

2. remove guns from ewar so they can be used as intended.

3. I think light ewar bots should have a harder time ewaring a mech for example, since there are ewar mechs. I think light ewar should recieve penalties in trying to ewar mechs or bigger.

thats my 2 nic.

thanks for reading

1. Ewar do need the speed because their modules have extremely short range, they need to be able to run in and out to do their job.

2. See sensor strength.

So because your corp members say that your corp wont scam us that means you should be trusted?

And stop pulling numbers out of your *** concerning who had what equipped when you weren't even there.

Like even being there would let me know which accounts where EA or T4 equipped, so like maybe I was generalizing to make a point, or is that concept too difficult to grasp for you.

Your point about fitting is spot on though, so add that as another non-tactical issue that would have also resulted in 2.5-1 odds resulting in a different outcome.

Your're going to have to put more points into trolling though, your starting to lose your EA advantage.

Yes if you had been there and looted the field you would have seen how much T3 and T4 equipment they left behind. And Joke's alliance definitely has more then 30 EA players. They have been in this game just as long as us.

I understand what a generalization is. But apparently you don't. Giving specific numbers about who in a group is doing what is not a generalization, it's the exact opposite actually.

And who said I was trolling?

You are remotely controlling the spark not the robots. And the spark does not have the ability to teleport between terminals at will. If your going to use the fluff as an excuse for implementing bad game mechanics at least properly understand the fluff.

The fact that STO won even one of those categories let alone most of them shows me that the whole event is meaningless.

This is already implemented. http://forums.perpetuum-online.com

the only thing i would amend to that is that you guys definitely had a range advantage that we couldn't take.
I know for myself, i hardly got a shot off at all because the blobs didnt ever get that close..

Nothing like having a 1 or 2 T4 sensor boosters and an extra 2-3 skill points in long range... or wait, those don't matter.

Its not like having even 10 meters of extra range would allow you to just run backwards and kill bots like the first 30 minutes of the video showed; I hope that tactic isn't what you're calling superior, because any idiot can run backwards and keep a target just out of range.

This piece-meal whittling of game mechanics is getting old.

First deleting cargo, now containers.

Just list everything you need to make pirating fun and let the dev's change it all at one time; so they can get back to programming the fun stuff like artillary and tanks.

I'm serious, if you catch someone afk mining or undefended you should get the stuff, just get all of your issues organized and submitted in one place to get it over with.

I support this. Everyone should post everything that they are ever going to post right now then leave these forums for good. That way we can spend our time doing fun stuff like blowing eachother up.

But now they would be invisible scouts!.... Awesome....

They should totally just give you observer powers like in Counter Strike when you die.

Really?  I am aware of the 10% chance-to-miss for missiles which can be reduced with the Missile Guidance skill, but I could have sworn I read somewhere that mechs generally have a built-in chance-to-miss against smaller bots (something to do with their surface hit size).

That's for Lasers and EM weapons only. What missles have is reduced damage to smaller bots. But the hit chance stays the same.

raykor wrote:

Huh?  When I look at the stats for missles it shows x amount of some damage type.  Are you saying that medium weapons have a built-in negative damage modifier towards smaller bots?  Or does it have something to do with their larger "explosion size"?

Explosion size is the missile equivalent hit dispersion. The math works the same way but instead of say a 60% chance to hit missiles only do 60% damage.

raykor wrote:

Hmm.  The huge range advantage still sounds like a significant advantage but I guess I'll see.

It is significant, 1v1 a mech should win against an assault bot. But that doesn't make them obsolete. Assaults are way more cost effective. 2 assaults can kill a mech for significantly less resources.

If that was true then.......few or none would do it.

Sorry but what he said was completely true, farming light/assaults in a Mech is a horrible idea. You will do more damage A LOT quicker with cheaper ammo if you stick to assaults. PvE wise Mechs are only good against large mech spawns if you have the proper skills(seismics/precision firing 7). If you don't have your respective skill to 7 then you might as well just use assaults for farming mechs as well.

Here I'll throw an argument at you using the same logic. Mechs suck because my corp has hundreds of them and has had them for weeks, but still we use our assaults for PvP and PvE.

Was not arguing that it was a good idea, just there are a fair amount of people doing it......go out there and pay attention a bit and you will see people doing it.....did not say they were right, or smart, just that if it was that bad there would be less or none doing it.

I know what your trying to say. I'm just trying to point out that your argument is based off of a logical fallacy.

the ammo you shoot there is more worth then the loot you get.

at the same place, my gf was with her full-industrial TM-A agent, in a castel and not a single weapon extension above the starter ones, just two ranks in locking time and 3 in sensor connection - and killing those mantis in two to three salvos.

its hard to guess who worked more money efficient.

If that was true then.......few or none would do it.

While it's definitely not a big issue I would definitely prefer to have the option to have a static mini map with a directional icon.

I played wow from beta until about 6 months ago and the biggest challenge that game managed to throw at me was having to deal with groups of people that don't understand how to overcome scripted events. I would definitely claim that the game is less challenging.

How is it that Mechs are less accessible to casuals? You can farm the money needed to buy one after about 4 hours of farming or less. The only real barrier are your extensions and casuals get those just as fast as those who play all day.

Yes yes clever man. Thats why this topic must be moved from general discussion to http://forums.perpetuum-online.com/foru … iscussion/ forum, like all trololotopics must be.

You obviously don't know what a troll is if you think the OP is a troll post.
