The perp-kill domain expires at the end of the month and I will not be renewing. It's been a good run fellas. So long.

It's not a leap year bug. Nothing has changed on my side. Either the API changed, or my credentials expired.

Edit: Nevermind. There was a curl/ssl issue. Resolved now.

There's a reason he's the only one to ever be IP banned from perp-kill.

Zoom can we disable perp kills API please. No need for him to make money from us if thats his attitude.

I sure will miss that $0.17 I made last month. Keep crying to the devs to fix your problems/cater to your personal desires. I'm sure that will work out well for you and this game as a whole.

As an outsider who doesn't play, rest assured, each and every one of you is a ***.

Posted some fixes today.

  • Navigation for changing months is back.

  • Agent and Corp historical kill and loss pagination is fixed.

  • Pagination across the entire site sized to better accommodate different screen resolutions.

  • Related Kills is back to the old format that breaks participants down into corp blocks.

I want to be honest even though i feel a little like i'm bshing you here and you do great work.

I hate the new perp kill. It is clunky, the battle summaries are worse, i cant look historically at peoples kills, when i look on a mobile its horrible. For the first time since perp kill came out i'm using sequer.nl.

It's a work in progress, obviously, but that's totally fine. To each their own. Doek's site is fantastic and he's clearly put in a lot of work. Use what works for you.

thought, according your fight summary, the good guys is always the loser side. does the API actually send out the old "agression" flag data, aka who shot first @ an unflagged target. If yes, you could use that data to define "agressor" and "defender" or just use neutral designations for "faction/alliance 1, 2 and 4"

Yeah, I'll probably just switch it to neutral designations. Right now "good" and "bad" are calculated from the perspective of the kill you were viewing.

I haven't forgotten about fixing this page or the other features, I'm just very busy at work this week.

Dark theme posted. Site should be far more responsive for all the different resolutions you guys are working with. I'll fix the mobile display after I get the rest of the links working.

Everyone calm down. I updated to Bootstrap 3. If you think it's all sized too big, take it up with Twitter. I'll get a dark theme up soon.

Gotcha. I'm now displaying "NPC" as final blow in the table.

Hey DEV Gargaj,

Does every kill have a final blow flag set? I'm seeing some mails where the killer does zero damage, is the only attacker on the mail, but isn't flagged as the final blow. For example:

Just trying to figure out if that's a bug in my API parser, or if I need to change the logic.

Edit - Here's what you're sending:

Ah, thanks, I thought that query was wonky, but didn't have an example to test whether it was correct or not. I'll get that fixed.

Have you seen the comments.. ?

Yes, which is why this discussion hinges on the implementation of OAuth2 in the API. If added, I would be able to verify the person attempting to post as "Mitix" is in fact the owner of the "Mitix" account. Once that is possible, anonymous posting could be removed.

Taking it a step further, I would be able to store preferences for each of your user accounts on perp-kill allowing you to block individual users. So if "Mitix" posts nothing but racist, homophobic, ethnic slurs you could hide his comments globally on the site.

Long story short, I'm not going to remove, disable, or limit comments simply because there are a handful of immature posters. There are better solutions that don't ruin the fun for everyone.

Mmmm, how about an OAuth2 API for the actual Perpetuum accounts? I've been planning to do some API revamping anyway, and having OAuth2 endpoints would mean we could have person-specific data routed through the API without having to worry about unauthorized access.

I have very limited experience with OAuth2, but this sounds wonderful.

Yes, the related kills section can be improved. It's on the list.

Mitix the only thing I see that ruins the layout are the long Corp names on the killmails ... POLICE corp comes out as its full name, which I can't even remember, and takes at least half the screen because the name is written on one line.

What browser are you using? It's supposed to be cutting those names off if the extend outside their boundaries.

Can do. I'm working on a more responsive layout that should display correctly on smaller screens, specifically mobile devices.

One thing I need for this is a new header image. If any one has any interesting screenshots of the game let me know. I need something that is full width (1920 or bigger) without any text so I can scale dynamically.

Greetings,

As many of you noticed, I've recently started on the perp-kill.net rework/update. I'm posting this thread as a place for feedback, bug reports, complaints, feature requests, and/or general comments.

Re: KB Size - I'm not sure what you mean specifically. The overall dimensions of the killboard are the exact same as version 1.0. Are you talking about a specific section?

Re: Time/Mail/Comment Icons - Find me something better and I'll use them.

Re: Comments - The last time comments were visible by default, you *** lords posted so much racist crap that my inbox was flooded by people requesting that I remove them all together. They stay hidden unless you click.

Re: Ranks/Top List - These are still being stored/calculated and will return and/or be incorporated into a bigger statistics/reporting section.

<3,
Mitix

If this happens, please add a flag to the API to distinguish between PvE and PvP. I could parse the number of attackers and flag it from there, but I'm lazy. smile

This is a fun thread.
