The one thing I have noticed  isthat the further from the server you are the more it affects you

To the DEVs

Until you sort this lag and latency issue out, it will continue to drive your players away. Don't keep saying it is an issue with your pc or provider, because frankly it ain't. Your game can not handle it. (I run a alienware gaming comp, i can play any game in the world no matter were it is with no issue, yours is the only one that has this problem. Whether its due to the codex you are using or what, I don't know, but you had better sort it out.)

I am a member of an online community of about 70K plus and when asked about this game( and it has been numerous time) my comment is
"dont bother unless you like high latency and heaps of lagg" That is an honest answer and the only one I can currently give. I would like it to be otherwise as I really enjoy the game.

So please sort this issue out!

I just tried a PVE farming session at the top spot on hersh and neally lost my R&R bot due to latency, way too laggy. I think that may have something to due with the fibre optics cable that is down between perth and singapore (well I hope it is, will find out after the 29th dec when it is supposively fixed) That leaves me mining....GACK!!!!!!

Hello all!
Just a quick question, has the lag during large fleet engagements been sorted out? Just asking becos 50% of the game revolves around that and it just ain't fun when your constantly lagged out, or finding out you were destroyed 3 mins before hand and you didn't know.
And before you trolls deny it even existed, it did, hence why a number of players have left the game yet again, including myself. But I / we are waiting for it to be rectified so that we may return smile

Understand Rage and tears, but being a ***........hmm I think not. Really if you encounter some one like this you have only 3 options.

1. Respond to the troll - all that achieves is the troll getting an inflated ego! and encourages more trolling.

2. Leave the channel - this will mean you dont have to listen to the crap and you can get on with what you are doing peacefully. The draw back in this is that you then miss some of the meaningful conversations that actually happen, and you miss the chance to meet some decent people

3. Just simply ignore them, act like they are not there and carry on with what you were talking about. This gives the troll no sense of achievement, especially when a whole chat channel simply does not respond to them, it deflates em so all that is left is a deflated ***.....lol couldn't resist that.

In saying all this yes it is your right to do and say and act as you want, but don't be surprised when more and more people simply just start ignoring you and your presence to the point where eventually you (The troll that is ) just goes away.

To be honest, I am in a corp and it has help me somewhat get my research up, but most of the researching I have done was me getting off my own arse and out their to kernal farm for my indy alt. Yes I have more than 1 account and this made it easier, but the fact remains i got off my arse to do some endless kernal farming, and enjoyed doing it immensely. It has taken a long time to get to where I am in regards to what I have achieved.
What I am hearing here sounds to me like people want something and they want it now, and they want it to be easily attainable. Get over it, and get on with it, yes it takes along time, but hey this is an MMO, it is supposed to take a long time.
But I will agree with one thing said in this topic and that is there needs to be a kernal tree defining what unlocks what so you can guide your research, that would make things alittle easier because then you can target specific NPC's to get what you need and it will also give you more control over where your research is heading.

Anyway back to the grind, Happy farming!

So why not add an anon tag for players who want to avoid public chats for these reasons? Cant be hard to do on the programming side and might help the game at least feel more populated.

Make a little box in options for it, then people could safely join general chat and help chat and rejoin the community who doesnt afraid of being in chat.

I really think its a big factor in a lot of new players backing out of a game they might enjoy if only they knew that in fact more than 30 players were on and even maybe got to converse with some people in larger corps even if they were anon in chat.


Just a thought.



Or perhaps they stay out of the main stream chat channels simply to avoid all the bullshit that flow out of some people mouths and the constant idiotic trolling.
I have noticed general chat recently has been lacking alot of these trolls and it has been really good, alot of free flowing information and respect for fellow gamers....also just a thought

Ok, i finally got it to work, turns out i didnt have all the correct stuff in the test folder i created. Now when i try to join i now get the conection page up, but i get a connection lost, searching for server. It also says that the server is up. I am assuming that you are doing something with it at the moment so i will try again later. Thx for you responses, it helped me to start thinking out side the box and figure out what was wrong.

Nope still not working 12 hours later, I have uninstalled and deleted then re downloaded twice now and re-installed but i still keep getting a server not responding.

I have downloaded this and installed it to its own folder, when i select it to run it all i get is server not responding.
