Topic: Field Container Poofed

So I was out farming titan ore for a couple of hours today on Attalica at around the point of 913, 1200.  I had a field container down in order to put ore in as my cargo hold got full.  I was keeping it open and periodically loading in 50k titan ore at a time.  At one point, I needed to move in order to select a new tile to mine.  I moved slightly outside the container's range and the container closed. (No big deal - this had happened 2-3 time before).  However, this final time I moved, the container "poofed".  I would not be too concerned except there was 500k titan ore and 11k titan ore charges in it, so as you can imagine, there was a lot of work and money lost.

This was the first time I had used a field container, so I consulted with my corpmates.  They said containers should remain on the group unless they are not opened for 10 minutes.  As I had actively been keeping the container open nearly the whole time, I'm not sure how it should have gone poof.  Any insight would be helpful - or if it's a bug, please let me know.

Thanks!

*edit by Kami: proper title, to prevent misunderstandings. storage container is not a field container*

Re: Field Container Poofed

field container countdown timer is only paused when the container is open - it is not reset.  That, AFAIK, is a known issue; it's *supposed* to reset after being open.  Still shouldn't have poofed immediately after closing, unless you had closed it for a total of 9:59 on the dot.  That seems really unlikely to me.

Re: Field Container Poofed

I had it actively opened for far longer than 10 minutes until i moved out of range.. .there was no 9:59 - I stepped slightly away from it so that my active container window closed and *poof* - gone.  Along with an afternoon of mining and 200k worth of mining charges.  Kinda sucked.

Re: Field Container Poofed

This has been changed since, and the timer will now reset if you open it or put/remove items from the container. Please report if you encounter any weird behavior still.
