I take a combat assignment from TMA lvl0 (I have 0.1 relation)

1st Objective: Scout area A
2nd Objective: Kill stuff
3rd Objective: Submit item from blue container at any terminal.

Go to a new field terminal and my current assignment is not available to select from assignment list so I can deliver item. Back to TMA forgetting that I'd left the 'item' in the field terminal storage so undock and go get it. On docking back up at TMA I discover I've failed the mission.

Am I supposed to be able to submit assignment items at field terminals?

I said that it's easy and all of the job fighting 5lvl, easy to perform for one heavy mech mk2

Now only tested mechanics, balance will be changed

I was just giving an example that he might be able to understand, why simply increasing the cost of new items wont do it.
Actually its pretty common in online games to replace and devalue currencies from pre-change times to avoid former exploits that are supposed to be fixed by the change, are not carriing over.
Only the "professional mission runner" and DEVs know how much tokens and NIC are floating around in the database.

lvl0 missions are listed in field terminals, and submitting items there work(ed) for higher level missions.
Should Work AFAIK.
I just hope DEVs change how to submit mission items, because the need to deactivate all modules (including defenses) just to drop cargo into the terminal to recognize it for the mission, is contraproductive IMHO.

You found the one place on the UI where you can't deliver smile We'll try to fix that.

You can deliver using:
- Deliver button on the assignment objectives window, but apparently this sometimes doesn't appear
- Assignment objectives window > info button > deliver
- Put the item into the field terminal storage, rightclick it and select "Deliver for assignment"

Not sure why you failed the mission though. Did it expire? Or did you just abort it?

- After delivering assignment items, no new category boxes for the affected type will appear. The assignment window must be closed and re-opened for them to appear.


- The harvesting mission "War gardening" seems to be bugged.

Objective A requires you to harvest 9000 Helioptris. Harvesting 9k units will trigger the notification, but the objective will still be marked as incomplete(stuck at 7924/9000). It's possible to deliver the items, but assignment will not complete as objective A is not finished.

EDIT: Same for the assignment "Bad Weather". Objective A "Harvest 9000 Helioptris" is stuck at 7924/9000.

related, because those NPCs can be used for more objectives later on.

Did you have multiple harvesting missions running at the same time (perhaps via your squad)? Because in that case it can happen that it will choose which objectives to count for a bit randomly. But in the end the sum of all harvesting objectives and the amount you need to harvest for all of them should be equal.

edit: nevermind, I misunderstood. It's not about the delivery objective but the harvesting one. We'll check.

Not sure what you mean by player faction NPCs, but we have just recently talked about this and the building blocks to do transport npcs running between bases are there. It certainly would bring some life/immersion to the islands.

player factions as TMA, ICS and Asi,

and yes, mostly for immersion, but also for "escort" or "pirate" missions.

Actually it works now, after I left the squad. Tried 3 missions in a row now without any problems. There were no other assignments active however and none of the squad members were online.

So I did some more testing and this bug still persists, but I'm closer finding the cause.
I'm pretty sure it's caused by running multiple harvesters at once.

- Running all three harvesters at once, activated with spacebar: 14 of 20 attempts were successful
- Running only one harvester at the same time: 20 of 20 attempts were successful

I wanted to do more tests by activating the harvesters one after another few seconds apart, but there seems to be something wrong with the test server. When I try to deposit items from my cargo into the field terminal private storage, it gives me the following error: error_SQLDeleteError http://i.imgur.com/ppW4NIB.jpg
Relogging didn't help.

EDIT: error_SQLDeleteError is now gone. Depositing items works again.

New update:

  • *fixed* The visibility of assignment structures is currently too low. - Masking reduced from 450 to 200.

  • *fixed* You get the "Can't use this while modules are active" error when trying to unstack or destroy items in your cargo, even when not near a field terminal.

  • Added assignment failed toast message when aborting.

  • Objective markers and waypoints in the landmarks list can now be doubleclicked to autopilot there.

  • Fixed the corporation management member list not loading all members when opened for the first time.

  • The enter beta/gamma base Steam achievement was working inverted.

  • Fixed the highway speed bonus. It now gives a straight +36kph bonus for real.

  • Added new lines into the assignment info windows: for combat missions it now shows the expected enemies' faction, and for transport missions it tells you the total volume that needs to be transported.

  • NPC factions in combat assignments: 70% chance to get the faction native to the zone, 15-15% chance to get one of the other two. But always only one, factions are not mixed within a mission. Industrial NPCs are generated as extras.

  • The mission complete window was not telling you when you got 0 NIC and has also hidden the bonuslevel in this case. (Can happen on bonuslevel -5.)

  • Added rightclick "Autopilot here" option to the radar and the map.

  • Added rightclick Install/Upgrade options to the extension requirements tab of item information windows.

  • Assignment related toast messages now include the assignment's name and the squadmember's name who did something, where appropriate.

  • Jasdemi's harvesting objective bug: it seems we fixed this, at least I can't reproduce it now. Please test it yourself too.

I did about 20 harvesting assignments today and it didn't happen even once, so seems to be fixed.


Another thing Inda already reported, but it isn't under the known issues:
When you complete assignments at field terminals, the "Private storage" and "Assignments" buttons will get cut off. The more assignments you complete, the more gets cut off. http://i.imgur.com/uTKyGq5.jpg

The "in progress" category box for mining assignments doesn't appear on the assignments window.

If the in progress box doesn't appear somewhere then it means that you requested it at another location. We're working on a way where it will show the in progress boxes regardless of this everywhere.

And I've never seen the button cutoff myself yet, but the common thing between you and Inda seems to be playing in fullscreen.

hmm, orange npcs spawning within active mission areas, that are not part of the mission, will auto-aggro you, no matter how far you are away. *

300m radius for mission spawn also makes it that lvl1 missions will trigger the spawn right away (most field terminals are within that radius)

* im not sure if i shot one of the npcs of the spawn, but the aggro was lasting even towards respawns of the whole area (3 different types of npcs)

Seems like it's only happening in borderless window mode. Works fine in fullscreen and window mode. Tried each one about 10 times.
