Topic: energy wells

What's the difference between T1, T2 and T3?  Like do they all three pull the same amount but the hugher tiers convert the out put more?

Re: energy wells

Correct.

T1=80% transfer efficiency
T2=100%
T3=120%

And of course armor&resistances are also better.

Re: energy wells

can you put that in the description somewhere?

Re: energy wells

Did you do something different to these things in the patch, they went from pushing 3000 AP to like 256 AP to 800 AP?

either your bases demand is below the 3000 AP, or the deposit is near empty and the wells are unable to collect more at once.

^What he said, we didn't touch it.

Re: energy wells

Ville you seem to be imagining stuff lately, from NPC teleporting, infinite energy NPC, to this.

RIP PERPETUUM

Re: energy wells

I had thought the energy was a liquid, it is in fact not.

The mining Well was on the end of the field and since the field is Really Long, it mined out a quarter of the field and left the rest.  So I have to move the mining well over to collect the rest of the field, which is highly frustrating.

Re: energy wells

Just to be clear, liquid means that the mineral is "flowing" towards the tiles with the highest density, not that it flows towards the point of extraction.

You mean, I am playing the game and telling you how it is versus how you "think it should act"?

i bet thats something new to Ville, despite the fact that the mechanic works like this for the whole time.

Re: energy wells

This is highly frustrating guys.  The wells are leaving half fields, it may flow to the highest density it is in fact not.

Re: energy wells

I have had this issue as well and have ticketed it with no response.  Here is a screenshot of the well.  Notice the output is 720 AP instead of the 3000, and the well was placed 2 days ago.  Also, my base has 4 reactor that all draw in the 1500-2000 per tick so that is not the issue.

Re: energy wells

hmm, i can't see anything informative in that screenshot at all.
edit:
given how the energy well and power-grid system works for gamma bases, i can't understand whats the issue in the last post.

Is that a transmitter? They don't transfer much if it is. Use a backbone.

those are command node connections...
how long have you been away from gamma?

Not long enough. *** gamma.

It's really simple.  There was a patch some time ago that changed how ore fields spawned.  This caused energy minerals in the ground to make things like giant pen*s in the ground.  Well naturally I would place my well over top of the balls, Kinda into the shaft.  So day 1 the minerals get pulled out fine at a rate of 1500-2000 a tick.  Then I come back 24 hours later and the wells are pumping at like 300 a tick.  I go over to the well and scan it and a circle under neath the well is gone and it looks like it's only pulling from the few tiles just outside the circle.  I can come back 24 hours later after that and the energy well will be pumping out 0 AP.  I can scan the energy and it will be just a little energy on both ends there.  I end up having to move the well 2 more times to force a new energy field to spawn to get it all out of the ground.

What I am trying to tell you guys, is In a 4 day period I might have to move an energy well 3 times(on the same energy field)

Now for a Stable base you have to use 4 wells..........(that's just a normal base with NO guns.)  It's painfully tedious.

You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

1. Why did this post turn me on?
2. Is the problem the wells are pulling the liquid too fast and it is running out before the liquid 'flows' to the well?  I am not sure how htey have coded the liquid movement of fields.  What happens if you run it for 12 hours on, 12 hours off (I know this isnt fixing the issue, its only trying to troubleshoot it.. assuming the devs think this is an issue)
