Topic: Perpetuum RL Meeting

We all know about the Gamescon, Blizzcon, EVE-meeting and other Gaming events. I just started to wonder about a Perpetuum Event like meeting the Devs and your comrades (or fiends) in RL, having some minor events and of course, partying together.

What do you think of the idea of having a Perpetuum Meeting in Hungary and what would you expect of it? And of course, would you come to one?

Please share your general opinion and perhaps some event ideas.


To start with it, here would be my ideas:

  1. Expectations:
    - meet&greet the DEVs, discuss with them,
    - squeeze intel out of them in exchange for beer tongue
    - Minigames and partying
    - Roaming Blaha yarr

  2. ideas for Minigames:
    - PvP with waterguns or Paintball
    - quizzes (about perpetuum knowledge, movies and other games)
    - watching perpetuum-battle footage together via projector in 3D roll

  3. length of the Event:
    - a weekend, 2-3 days

  4. would you come:
    - of course, no question about it!

I guess I'll get my passport updated - let me know soon, I only get 2 weeks vacation a year and would hate to waster them going to family for the holidays if I can party in eu for 2 weeks!

I'd like to quickly point out that this topic is by no means official and that we're currently not in the process of creating of such event. However, I've been quoted as saying that I'll start designing one once we hit 10K subscribers, and I'll amend that I'm willing to do so earlier once we have, say, 4-500 people dedicated to show up.

Omg hungary, that's next door!!! I'm so there. Bloody swell that there could be  a possible fanfest NOT in Iceland.

But 4-500 ppl to show up? sad that's 15k subs :I

Expectations: see stuff that's in development, getting the oppurtunity to terraform the *** out of attalica, meet gargaj in person and tell him to not be so shy, make him drunk enough to lose  his beard....SEE DREADDOUGHNUTS!   Annoy the dev team for Heavy Ewars and the bot segmenting that was seen in beta (mesmer head on me ictus torso on me arkhe legs), annoy whoever's in charge of content to start adding some content and use to the useless structures strewn across the islands (or hire me to do it) . Kick the guy in charge of 3d graphics engine (was it calvin?, sry my memory is too bad for names sad) and hurt him till he adds wind, lighting, storms, snow, hail, tornados, ... to the game); also force him to rewrite weather algorithm to allow for more sunlight in general and bloody less fog. It's like a goddamn life on the river Thamse in the mid 18hundreds all the time. I'd try to bribe the whole team to boost the vagabond ecm range , which is totally unneccesary, but I need to do something for my *** as well.

Stuff.

Lots to talk about.

This would be so fun.

Also if devs are unwilling to make any reponse (official or unofficial - meaning they won't want to join their players for a beer at all) I'd be willing to come there just to meet all of you  players and have 2 great days. Plus I'd leave my GF to roam the city for 2 days - pure awesomeness, but alert police, cause her credit card is nonexistant. I'll have to hide mine...

Err by respnse i meant  by showing up at the meeting in official or unofficial role... bad choice of words.
