Hype the game up on forums. People are fed up with all the crappy MMO's that are currently out. Not enough people know about this game, and how fun it can be.

So start talking about the game on forums like MMORPG, saying how great it is, and people will come. For example, they have a forum specifically for people looking for a new MMO. I see people constantly reply to peoples threads with games like DCUO (sucks) and DarkFall (the swords and magic version of this), if we can get people to reply to those threads with PO it will help bring a few extra people.

Word of mouth helps as well. I brought 2 people into this game once I found out. So tell your friends too. Everyone 1 person you bring in has the potential to bring his/her friends as well.

Not at all- I was just ignoring your rhetorical retreat in order to drive my point home. To put it in your terms: you might say forums are... harsh.

Nah, you're just too arrogant to admit on the forums that you were fooled. It's okay pal.

PS I am tough.

Example 1: Notice my eyes, they are completely white. I am so tough I control my bot using braille.

Example 2: Notice my tattoo's. I am a thug I have tattoo's that extend from my ears down towards my lower torso.

This is what makes me an e-thug, or as you call me an internet tough guy. No loot exploding is icing on the cake! I think IndianRiver should go play WoW so when he dies he only has to pay some copper and silver coins to repair his hand crafted tailored under garments that he flaunts to the passing women of The Barrens.

lol Easily the funniest post of the day. A 'harsh' video game! big_smile

Seriously? Deleting or not deleting cargo is a factor in whether you are an internet tough guy?

No, but given the other factors of the game, namely you die you lose your bot + everything on it makes it a harsh game. And I get the vibe the OP doesn't like the fact that someone could potentially kill him for his cargo. Therefore, tough luck, harsh, too bad...whatever you want to call it.

You should go play WoW Indian, that game was built for people who enjoy PvE as you seem to. Oh, and jettisoning your cargo in EVE was not like destroying it. If I wanted it, I could use my directional scanner and find it at a moon, not that hard to do.

Did you even read his post? How does NOT wanting special rules equate to playing wow?

It isn't "special rules" it's a standard in all sandbox MMO's, and you seem to fail to realize that. Which is precisely why I told you to play WoW because you can't seem to cope with the fact that this game is harsh. Harsh in that it does not give the carebear (you) all the advantages. Rather, it requires quick, thought out tactics to overcome someone.

I just think this game isn't for you bud.

I have to agree. Having a timer, rather than an infinite safe zone makes way more sense.

ok
half a silver platter as equipment isn't enough loot for you

of course you are ignoring the whole "special" rule thing

how about a tit for tat since you PVPers have been given a golden goose by god (Devs) how about us PVEers get one too

lets see, how about when we are in a mining bot, now mining bots only, mobs can target you but they can't hit so you can basically mine on top of them
that seems fair doesn't it?
no extra equipment required, just a "special" rule
just like the magical inability to delete from cargo

Ever played EVE? Ever played Darkfall? You couldn't just delete your equipment/cargo if you were going to die. Take your loss and accept the fact that you were outsmarted. It's common place in the "hardcore" MMO's for the reward of PvP to get your opponents loot. I don't see why you're so butt hurt over this. Don't get killed in the first place.

Secondly, your suggestion is stupid. So you want to be able to mine on the Beta islands for example with hostile mechs just ignoring you? Yeah because that completely removes risk v. reward out of the equation lol.

Seems like YOU want everything on a golden platter. And now that something that was in your favor, now is in no ones favor but the victor and you're angry about it. Get over it.

I believe this error is rather common, restarting the EXE should continue the download from where it crashed. If not try a reinstall of the EXE and let it download the GBF again.

This worked. The download was extremely frustrating for me. It took me 3 hours on a cable connection to download PO due to constant and I mean constant crashes. Just keep restarting the download and as Alex said it will start from where you crashed.
