OK so what should be the reward for doing group events?

I did do a search for this and couldn't find a post so i'll put my thoughts forward.

1. Everyone on the island every 1 hour gets an assignment with coordinates and robot type they will be facing.

2. Players move to trigger area, Assignment updates for those players that enter area.

3. Once there are more than 5 players the area will trigger.

4. Player kill waves of AI and final wave has 5* npc or (boss)

5. Last wave drops Assignment Hand in.

Final: Cash based reward for assignment, no tokens, no rep just large cash reward.

NPC type for waves dependant on Island:

Alpha 1: 2-3 *
Alpha 2: 3-4*
Beta: 1/2: 4-5*
Gamma: 5* superior

I've just been on the test server trying out the new missions.

Most of the new content works pretty well, but i'm disappointed with the Assignment window whilst your progressing through the mission. It seems scruffy and out of place.

The new UI for completion of the missions looks excellent but the Assignment window now feels really cheap.

a,b,c etc.... for location points and they are just little red blobs on the floor.

Can it not be changed to Waypoints with a shaft of light you can visually see from a distance?

Also allow the player to interact with the assignment window instead of having to use the landmarks window for targeting and location.

It's the ownership of the beta islands that forces players to stay on Alpha, not everyone wants to join a corp that already owns a beta island just so they can progress past Alpha.

When a new player moves on from alpha islands they look on the map and if they are interested in starting a new corp or just want to try there hand at pvp all they see is territory owned by powerful corps.

This is having a massive negative effect of players.

Let the powerful corps own Gamma and let everyone else have a fun in beta.

Now that we have Gamma Islands, is there a need to have player owned stations in Beta?

After taking to some of the players that have left the game, I'm getting a unified answer as to why they felt there game time had ended.

They felt trapped in Alpha.

Make all the current beta stations just NPC stations, and open them up.

Show player bases in Gamma to clearly display territory and let the big corps get stuck into Gamma.

All players can dock, and open up the possibility of new players getting into ninja mining, high end mission running.

Give new players the feeling of space, dont box them in.

Ways to limit alt corps from abusing this rule

1. Minimum number of players required in corp i.e 100 members minimum
2. Costly skill requirement for the CEO

There are things can be done to avoid this abuse the devs just need to consider this. smile
