There was a reason for this, but this solution was a knee jerk reaction.

Too many people were making alts and farming light bots etc.

I agree completely - something needed to be done, but this doesn't seem like the best way to have handled it.

the 500 ppl playing the 1kplus accounts is not enough to make it a MMO maybe a mMO

Yeah, definitely a valid point about an indie game a week or so after release.

FFS! this is not world of warcraft, pay 10 gold and then respec.
This is the beauty of the game! people cant be good at everything.
You need to spend your points carefull.

Now close this stupid thread and all of its kind.

If there was halfway decent documentation on how the game works I might agree but given the somewhat arcane nature of the attributes/skill system this doesn't seem like such an unreasonable request.  As others have said, a one-time thing would be fine and would stop a lot of complaining.

i emailed this link to a couple of guys I play EvE with and I think they might give this a shot - bravo!

as a network architect I'm always fascinated by details on how games like this are run but as Glimpse said, I understand if they're not inclined to give out info at this state.

wouldn't this be more appropriate for this forum?

however, whilst I agree on some of your points, it makes sense to me that I could only initiate things like RE and Refinery while at a terminal, even though it would be nice to have view access from anywhere?

You guys are awesome - it's SO DAMN REFRESHING to be playing a game created by a group of guys like yourselves.

Here's to many, many more threads like this smile

As a (very) new player, what would be "typical" goals for a corp or alliance?

Awesome - I didn't know that was possible - forgive my ignorance, I'm still figuring out the scope of the game.

As an absolute noob (total of less than 2 hours ingame), this is an excellent starter guide - thank you for sharing!
