So basically you want to Nurf industry on Alphas (where you cant gank people mining) and Increase production and mining yields on Betas by 400%? Forcing players who want to do industry (I mean really isn't there few enough dedicated industrialist anyway?) onto the the betas so you have more easy kills?

I mean really... Didn't see that one coming.

This game is not like Eve, you don't have 5 million Carebears mining away, Do to how industry works in Peretuum, it takes MONTHS to get the ability to even manufacture "decent" items and weapons. There are VERY few actual industrialists in Perpetuum, Building your Robots and weapons.

What your proposing is ludicrous. The only sane thing would be to increase the mineral amounts on Alphas. You need to think about the economy here. Not about your killboard.

Honestly I will support this ONLY if, You CAN build bases, and you CAN teraform.

One of the major downsides to Eve was te fact that you culd not do this in WH's. And it was BS that you couldn't, I mean really how cool would it be to have your own secret base which actually took your enemies some effort to discover and then destroy?

Plus it would be a great way for newer corps to get the hang of the whole teraforming and colony creation concept. Without having to worry "as" much about an enemy squashing them before they even got started.

+1 Definitely needs to be added, not even an Option, it is a requirement.

yea that map is missing the beta islands (and alpha 2 islands) anyway. Not to mention when steam releases, and the pop explodes, they going to have to expand and push the gama islands further out to add more alpha, alpha 2, and beta islands, and later more gama islands.

You always have to keep a lot more space then there are entities to avoid overcrowding (which limits population growth). An organism can only grow as large as it's surrounding environment. ~ Basic evolution.

Eve online forgot this. Which is the reason that games pop has stagnated (remained stable.. sort of) But stagnated. Because there is not enough space or opportunity for people to expand.

Pretty sure the Perpetuum Devs will not make the same mistake.

We all know Perpetuum is great. One of the better games out there, and if you don't once your done creating your character and log into the game you find out real fast.

The problem however for newer players is many (Whom I myself have recruited to the game) Assume that because the character creation is lackluster (Low graphic profile and creation methods), so is the rest of the game, and I have to continuously reassure them that the game looks nothing like the character creation.

I think that with the steam update right around the corner a full character creation overhaul is due, to put it in line with the graphics quality of the rest of the game.

This is why:

* The Character creation screen is the first screen players see. This gives them their definitive first look at Perpetuum. Are they going to see lackluster graphics and 1998 avatar creation? Or are they going to see 2014 Game enhanced and generated profile customization and creation?

* People make assumptions about a game based on the first 5 minuets of playing it, Generally this is spent in Character creation. If the player is not satisfied with their character (despite the fact that it only represents a photo), they may choose not to play the game further, and while yes they have already purchased it, this may lead to bad reviews.

* The character is the most important part of any game as it represents the player themselves. CCP understood this, even from the beginning. And while I know quality of the game itself has always been the Perpetuum Dev's agenda, now that it is stepping into the light it may be time to expand this to character detail and creation quality.

Just do it old school style, I have 4 clients installed on my computer, I see no reason to delete any of them in favor of Steam.

Honestly in my oppinion I think the steam release is to boost population, Once it's boosted people will simply do like they do with Eve online, and download extra clients from the website.

The initial explosion in numbers is what will matter, Players are creative and ingenuitive, and after they see how great the game is, they'll simply figure out a way to multibox, just like we all did.

This is happening again, Only now I cant see ANY public chat in ANY public channel after logging in, I'll basically log in and select my character, it starts to load terain then goes "Insufficient privalidges and takes me back to the char screen.
