Perp wide failure. Site, game, all loading very slow or not at all.

If it's congestion you are in trouble. There were only 120 in GC.

Update on Facebook when you can keep the game alive for more than 15 minutes.
TY in advance.

But that's what we got. Not your fault

FTR the triangle caps at 7 missions on each corner, 11 cap taken, pick up 7, drop 4, pick up 7, drop 7, pick up and drop 7 after you are in full swing. It caps out at around 3.2 million an hr if everything runs smooth. I don't think the problem is in the amount though. People will telll you there are other ways to make far more NIC. I think the problem is in, people can do it solo. Can't be having that. Solo people in an MMO must suck. It's the law.

NBSI docking rights promotes PvP. People have a reason to go there then.. no wait. roll

I'm indifferent but worth noting, NIC not only has less use, it has now doubled. I get 500 Plasma per 10 Level 1 kernals. 5 Bots, 4 tech levels 4 variants 5 x 4 x 4 and 300 or so of each? Tthat's alot of plasma and alot of NIC that doubled when the G key gets hit due to this "nerf". Just in Plasma.

The thing is, as long as I am playing I am going to do it anyway. Its content, it's what I am supposed to do. I'm sure this will get me a few flames but I might have left the kernal drops as is at 1:1 and scaled research back by 25%

Baph are natural passive resist to Kinetic but for reasons I can't explain I can eat through Baph armor faster with Autocannons than lazors, even when I am hugging them 30 meters on both and it costs me less in ammo. hmm

This is one of those damned if you do, damned if you don't debates. I farm my own kernals, solo. If I kept doing that through out my Perpetuum career, it would make me one helluva pile of NIC. That of course will drive up inflation though if I were a standard. I can in fact make more NIC farming Kernals than I do at the mythical triangle because the Kernals make up such a low percentage of what I am getting.

If they raise kernal drop to 1:1 I make less NIC because I stop farming Kernals earlier and turn to mining to begin Industry. It is worth pointing out though, I have virtualy no T2 and up prototypes in my sheet yet, even though I have farmed around 1000 kernals, 3 levels of light robot kernals, Assaults and a few Mech.

As a noob under a month old, the only thing right now I do in game that I look forward to is Kernal farming. I don't know how long that will last but I would rather be flooding the markets with modules TBH.

I don't object to complexity in the PvE. While EVE vets might like to claim this game as yet another PvP game, it is not an EVE clone and I dont much want to see it become one.

Asintec spawns near the main alpha terminal as an example, you can find 4 that are T1 Lights. One will be EWar, *auto-ignore for now. One you can melt them and take little damage. They use a chemo based ammo. Another uses the multi spec and if they get to range on you they will tear you up pretty bad. Another uses a sonic ammo, you can treat those like the chemo ones. They can be farmed. That applies up the ladder too. It makes knowing what is what, spawn by spawn part of the process.

The absolutes are in the numbers. They don't change and the numbers on Alpha main Islands for spawns should be reduced, IMO. No more than 3 to a spawn. Low EP can tank 3. They cant tank 5 and 8. Also the markets arent really seeing the value of commodities so all the loot that for the most part isnt worth repairing doesnt get taken because the 10% and 1% recycle and the state of the market make them junk. Recycling 11 facilites are identical to 1's and for a PvE combat enthusiast the loot is the goal.

The trouble short term and long term with the PvE is that the mobs, mob. If you see a 5 spawn you need to be able to tank 5 all the time. The chain and the respawn 100%. EWar on PvE is I-Win and while I can get eaten by PvE Arts with a Baph, My Art wont hit the PvE Baphs.

They don't play by the rules.

To the OP, Theo bots are better off with Plates, alot of plates. They seem to buffer tank fine but dont have the accu for repairs. Accept that even missions are gank content. In a game with an average of 300-500 people that will change either the content or the pop.

I played a french based MMO a few years back that had the same gauntlet style gameplay, expecting people to group up for everything. It never got the population for that sort of thing though. It's also no longer opened.

I dont agree. I've farmed 1's in a Baph and the NIC about the same for me as if I did the triangle. I use cheap autocannon ammo and a double medium plate set up though. The loot and drops I take back to the outpost is roughly the same in worth and there is 0 chance the 1's are going to kill that double plated Baph.

Point A to Point B. Triangle is FotM right now. Its for building standing and allows NIC for industrial development.

What Perpetuum needs is the Devs taking a good, hard look at why 5/6 of the Beta islands in game are completely empty and devoid of activity, with the remaining 1 being super-active and blockaded when there is epriton/hauling underway but otherwise mostly empty.

The biggest NIC sink in game is the fact that you LOSE your robot when you die, along with the modules. This is something that mainly happens on Beta islands, with some cases of AFK or unlucky people getting popped by Alpha observers.

There is no difference in mining capacity between New Alpha and Beta islands. The only "difference" is on the Alphas you mine titan, on the Betas you mine epriton. All other materials are available in irrational quantities for a 100% safe zone.

Therefore, there is no reason to implement fuel and other perishables, it is more reasonable, simple and logical to PROMOTE players to risk their existing perishables (bots, ammo, modules) on Beta. The current way of promoting - epriton, higher level missions & NPC's, higher facilities - are obviously not working.

As I said, 5/6 Beta islands completely empty and devoid of player-life. This is the biggest issue for Perpetuum to fix.

It was the same in EVE. You can't force PvP. You only force non PvP people out the door. Right now, Outer Alpha is like low sec. None of the benefits of null, ie: no Epi and none of the benefits of high sec, ie: more outposts. Because every spawn in perpetuum is the product of a mission, you can't go to Beta and just mine. You either go to kill an Epi miner or go to be farmed trying to mine it.

To the OP, we cant develop the econ here because the game isnt developed. I'm more concerned with the bottle necks I am seeing that are forcing this game to evolve in to EVE on the ground. I sense a Jita is coming and will be controlled by the beta power blocs. Nobody likes a WoW clone and an EVE clone won't fare much better.
