Re: I'm getting drunk with Styx

Styx let a lot of people down, but I have to say it's only after they had let him down first.
It would be amazing to see Styx back in the game if he really wants to come back.

If you DIDN'T already know, i would take note of this cassius.

Not trolling, so ONLY if you didn't know already, with the 2nd part of this right here.

Alexander is one of those people from M2S at the time so he knows as much as we do.

Re: I'm getting drunk with Styx

well it was before my time and i have not been present to judge it all.

but:
he/they cheated and got punished (banned). if he wants to play again then let him. give him his old account(s) back? no!

would i personly trust a person with leadership that pulled something like that one time? surely not. but thats for everybody for themselves to decide.

Just remember they are two sides of every story.

Re: I'm getting drunk with Styx

Hey Alexander! long time no see my friend, time to go rouse Jelan smile.  As for the main topic, I have run in many squads with Styx, Karism, Neoxx, and the bunch.  Styx is knowledgeable about the game, and makes a great leader and FC.  If he was to return, it could bring some life back into the pvp of this game tongue  just my 2 cents.  I vote yes for reinstatement.

Re: I'm getting drunk with Styx

I have no clue who this Styx guy is. But any1 that cheats, and gets caught cheating should be banned. Should be ZERO tollerance for shiiiit like that. Always. If "the other side of the story" cheated as well, then I hope they were banned to. If they didn't cheat. Well tough luck for this Styx-guy.
I guess making a new character is the only way for him to get back. And since the EP-GAP ain't a issue, and he as a vet should know this, he can easily get back on track and up to par with the rest of the vets in no time... fuuu
See what I did there? cool

Re: I'm getting drunk with Styx

I know the story, I have fought against him, we have tickled each others balls long enough. And yes it effected my game play, ruining  the perpetuum economic market with the insurance fraud, with echoing effects lasting up till today, as it never really recovered. The same goes for trying to fight someone on uneven stakes, with endless supplies, with you own hard earned robots.

Nevertheless, I have to admit, between all the virtual hate which was going on, it was my greatest joy in perpetuum so far, to fight gun to gun with great comrades, what is now known today as the "The Great NIA World War 22.05.2011 - 04.06.2011", with all the intrigues, spying, psy warfare and what not.  I have inside knowledge of the styx M2S Forum posts as well and the grudge he had against the dev´s, at the time.

I am not saying ban or unban him. All I am saying is, I had one of my greatest days in perpetuum, fighting probably one of the most challenging leader and warlord, we have seen in this game.

It is probably up to the devs as well, If they think, the game is hardened enough, to withstand future exploits, especially, with the "expected" high influx we would be getting on steam release. Saying that, styx might be a good counsellor to have at hand for the devs. If I remember right, it was one of his concerns in his letter in the internal M2S forums smile  Shoot me if I am wrong big_smile

Am I the only person who thinks this is a Jita troll post?

Those of you lucky enough to have your lives, take them with you. However, leave the mods you've lost. They belong to me now.

Re: I'm getting drunk with Styx

I've read the Styx side of the story and I've seen the likely insurance kills on the KB. I doubt the impact was that significant. Killing bots for marginal insurance payout would take time and return what? Nic? This is a game of assets.

The idea that the balance is skewed to this day as some above hinted sounds preposterous. Many an exploiter has gone unpunished, yet when a person is also effective the hammer comes down.

We're about to witness the largest safe transfer of wealth this game has ever seen from ASSETS created through exploited missions, exploited beacons, and a broken turtle-island gamma.

It's a good thing the owners of all this wealth are completely delusional carebears with no potential to stand against even a modestly organized opponent, much less a real leader.

Those assets will likely rot in Alpha, or simply serve as carebear porn to get off on.

Lol Rex so true

Proverbs 23:20-21 warns us, “Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags."

Not if it's the only thing you do in the game. That's what would get your accounts zero-ed. And, according to that first account, being one of the main buyers of alpha minerals is nothing if not significant (during that time).

But that isn't what happened here, or what's happening now. Stuff was duplicated through an exploit, accounts were permanently banned. That's what you agree on not to do before logging in for the first time. Fairly straightforward, and not really worth discussing.

Re: I'm getting drunk with Styx

This whole discussion is just so sad and pitiful, but apparently it entertained a lot of people when I linked it on our forums. big_smile

Truth be told, while you guys were still playing, you did witness the largest safe transfer of wealth this game had ever seen. You just didn't do anything about it. But hey, the only reason we amassed this wealth over the last 2 years was because there was never a modestly organized opponent.

Everyone who CHOSE to play the game over the last 2 years knew of the changes occurring. No one side had knowledge the other did not. But clearly it's better to not play and then cry about others that continue to do so and advance in the game. You guys had momentum and were right on our doorstep, and might have done a lot of damage. Then you left. Your reasons have been explained. But the reality is you did not push your advantages. And the results should be expected. Keep crying.

Re: I'm getting drunk with Styx

Unfortunately there are a handful of people left here that are aware of Styx' contribution to the game development.

As much as I would like to see the very familiar face a gain, I do not expect the ban to be lifted. But, when the miracle gets there, just press the button!

Who-ever is drinking with Styx, tell him Corban sais Hi!

Re: I'm getting drunk with Styx

Talk to me, Styx and Jita in TS, if Styx will be allowed to return to the battlefield.

Oh this is not the only thing Styx did. This is nothing that lead to his banning from the game. Oh if you could see the amount of assets that he hide from those of us that played the game with him.
