Topic: Mission Standing gains

As far as i know, all missions give 0.01 standing.
Right now the fastest way to get standings seems to be transportation missions. With a sequer, you can accept quite some, and they can all together be done in like 5 mins. I think that missions that take more time (kill, etc) should give more standing.

Re: Mission Standing gains

did you check where the rankings go?
Transport missions give rankings with transport/industry corps

What is the goal for a military agent to gain rankings with such corps?

In my opininon, it's quite ok, but will first have to check with a dev of the rankings will work (ie what in game effect will they have)

Re: Mission Standing gains

The topic startes argument is already outdated by now, but the topic title not:

The mission system has some major flaws for me.
First the Facts:

  • the Standing-gain per mission is fixed, and just affected by the Diplomatics-extension

  • higher Rank missions will appear every 1.x standing of the npc-corp, that means new missions at 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 ...

  • lower Rank missions will disappear after 1.1 standin (1.1, 2.1, 3.1, ... )

  • to slow down the standing-gain, the higher missions will give less Standing then lower ones - thats the reason for the lower ones to disappear

  • to see how much standing you got for a mission, you have to compare the value before and after you have completed it.

  • all missions are solo-missions, even if you had to form a squad to complete it

i would change:

  • Standing gain relative to my present Standing with the corp.

  • higher Rank mission could appear a bit earlier and give more standing for higher difficulty

  • lower rank missions should not disappear. together with my first change, the standing gain would get lower everytime you do it, but you could still get the money and reward-ammo everytime.

  • add a column to the mission-log which shows you the standing gain for the missions, to see which mission is worth repeating, and which not.

  • if the mission demands escorts, they should get also a reward, and the kills should also count for them. (i know, this needs a good system to make it non-exploitable)

  • last but not least, the mission-specialization extensions should also increase the rewarded ammo
