You start with one guy and you can hire more into your squad. You freely roam from outposts looking for fights and looting those you kill. You can also buy/trade goods between different outposts.

The latest update to version 0.40 now allows you to build your own outpost. This includes things like mines, generators for power, farms, 5 or 6 different buildings from small shacks up to large outpost buildings.

I saw this project at Greenlight I was wondering, this game is promising.

Good for me so far. I have my first settlement started. I am now making my own building material so I can build anything like larger buildings.

Thanks Gremrod, this game is awesome considering its still in alpha, too bad its not an mmo, but still loads of fun. smile I think they removed walls due to some bug for the time being until it gets fixed. Huge potential, still building my base though I seem  getting killed often by NPCs.

If your guys are not skilled they will get killed very quickly. I started out by collecting guys and standing near towns with the npcs will help fight so you can get help and skill at the same time.

I have 13 guys now and  half of them are pretty strong fighters now.
