Topic: Turbo

  • A new module that gives a short burst of speed, say for about 10 seconds.

  • Small and medium flavours.

  • Need to be loaded with a charge (singular) but the charges are huge in volume so you can't carry more than a couple of spares.

  • Heavy on accumulator usage

  • Long on relaod time

  • Speed boost is absolute and not a percentage, say T1 & T2 12kph, T3 24kph, T4 36kph

  • Uses a head slot so you would have to compromise on an ewar mod or tuner to fit one

  • Only one fit possible per bot

I think this would add an interesting tactical element to the game.

How a limited speed boost effect will make the game more entertaining is beyond me, I only think it will make it worse.

To get the edge:

1.  Forced to cycle a module every 10 seconds.

2. Forced to take charges.

3.  Forced to make AP stability and micromanage.

just alone the fact that it would be another t4 must have item that puts bots with less slots on a disadvantage even more...

at the same time you could ask for a certain module to removed from the game that makes it impossible to use the great difference between perp an eve that every fanboy names first when someone says "is this eve with robots"

got a better idea:

why not implement mounts? they could bring you fast to your destination, but you cannot fight while riding them.
