Sup,

full-robot cloaks suck. How about modules, which hide yourself from other people's overview, so you could use terrains to hide?
Ambushes would be so cool.

They just need to revert the assults masking back and bam you have a stealthy non claoking bot.

assults just had a really high base masking value.

"stealth" only on "landmarklist" (<thats what it is called here) does not work. Visibility on terrain and landmarklist is the same. If its not visible, its not rendered, and also no data send = no hack possible.

Better just to get rid of the overview, radar, and icons on screen.

Masking and detection was done very poorly. Masking modules work very nicely now but should use just a little more AP.

Detection module SHOULD have worked like the old ECCM worked. 10 seconds you could boost your detection by say 100% for 5 seconds of effect with a high AP use over the 5 seconds and a very small activation cost.

These numbers could of course be balanced to 20 seconds and 15 detection perhaps. But you get the idea. Masking and detection values should be tweaked a little more. It's very hard to get assaults within 800m without being seen and they go the same speed as most mechs. (New player vs older player) The LWF changed should fix that.

"Just perpetuum" is obviously not enough to attract more than a small bunch of people. Right now Perp is a better lan-party 15 years ago.

At least one way to escape an unwanted confrontation or one way to "sneak and hide" is much needed. This would allow new tactics and opportunities.

that sounds confusing, the "old ECCM" worked exactly like it does at the moment, because the changes got reverted. (i know, nitpicking big_smile)

agree that masking/detection needs a bit tweaking, as detection in group vs. group is cheaper then masking
