Why are they so expensive?

their usage was so much restricted that i can really understand why their price is so high?

the emergency beacon costs more then the current market price for a lithus.

for a beta corp is probably less expensive to lose a fully fitted riveler + sequer, then to use a single emergency teleporter.

theres no reason for that at all:

  • signal dampener lets ewar bots sneak close enough to prevent the usage of them

  • you can't jump into safety with them, as there is no protectionzone around teleporters anymore

  • their size got nerfed up to 60U for a standard one, you need a sequer alone for one.

  • any tactical use of them got blocked by the "no more teleporter or stations within 1km radius"

I agree. They are expensive for what they do and how they operate.

Also while we are at it. Let's add them to prototyping so players can build them.

Just get back their old prices ... (one third or one quarter of their current price)
Manufacturing them is a bit OP imho.

for 22Million NIC the emergency teleport needs to be 1U size or equip-able....

Teleports are not ingame for me since they are fubar.

Why not make them really cheap to buy. And when you buy them they don't work unless you place plasma or some type of resource in them.

Then depending on the amount of plasma or resource  determines how long it stays active, and how many gates show etc.

So bascially you are buy the haul of a teleport beaon for nic and you need to place something of values in it to make it work.

just an idea is all.

their use is very limited anyway -

another solution for the 22,5 million emergency beacon could be that it could allow both directions of teleporting.

emergency: call in reinforcements.

even that wouldn't be overpowered because the reinforcements would need to wait at a local teleporter station.
And it could be used in outpost battles - a stealthed lithus/sequer as dropship marker big_smile
