you get the t4 medium short range weapons several thousends of kernels earlier AFAIK

Alex, are they NPC drop or manufactured?
I can only assume they are manufactured and not droped since all the blue mobs i fight drop gauss guns.
This again leads me to belive that the only posible NPC that might drop them is an observer. though i can't confirm this since in not on a blue island.
so can u confirm that they are manufactured.  also do u guystake them to intrusions?  since i do not see them droping as loot from u guys.

Observers only drop tier 3 items.
What we use for intrusions depends on what we expect our enemy to do. Speed and longrange fittings that rely on superior mobility are likely to have Kains equipped with those guns among their ranks. Since they happen to be the fastest mechs in the game they are also the least likely to die.

Note to self: Don't enter Norhoop in a Kain, everyone will come running after you to loot your guns...

It was all made possible due to two things:
1) our Workers' Paradise environment
2) our Dear Leader

Actually it was hours and hours of alliance ops to farm kernals for the research character within the corp.  Which then provided the other corps final items for reverse engineering, voila.
