RIFT is not the same game genre at all. A lot of people don't like it and it doesn't take players away from Perpetuum.
I don't worry as well, I remember in EVE when 1000 simultaneous players was like a new record...

There was not exploit or fraud.  Because there was no rule / requirement / procedure that it violated.  There was no hack, becuase someone did not use out of game mechanics to affect in game performance.  The only ones that are at fault here are the Devs, everything else was done according to the at the time published game rules and functionality.  Corrective Action at this point would be to declare it an exploit, create a mechanic to prevent it, and publish it in an easily referable source, such as an Exploit Forum or list, and state from this point forward, it is not allowed.  To retroactively punish people for something that was not a violation prior to that point is inherently wrong, logically, and ethically.

Thats simply not true. Something is an exploit as soon as it gets someone an unintended advantage. Declared or not. No need of hacks, bugs or declarations.

If u use the insurance to make money by intentionally blowing the insured item up - you dont use the insurance to insure yourself against pityful losses, but to actively gain money.

And by this you do something not intended. And by that you exploit. End of story.

Nope, wrong.  First question that no one has answered - what requirement does it violate?  Until you can answer that, there is no violation. Period.

EDIT:  You can not prosecute someone for an activity if it does not violate a law.  You cannot claim someone violated a rule or requirement, if no requirement or rule exists to cover that issue.  A general rule that could be applied to cover unanticipated situations still has to have some criteria to which it applies.  Until you can show such a rule / requirement, you cannot state that anyone violated anything.

Is it the first time you play an MMO ? You're not IRL here. Everyone who's a little bit experienced knows that is an exploit for sure. This kind of situation happened in many games.
Dromsex is right. it's just obvious it's an exploit. How can u imagine that making benefits buy insurancing ur own bot and blowing it up is not ???
You're not stupid, so don't fake it please.

In the pasts months you quote people knew about it, this is true.
However majority CHOSE to not exploit it .
You CHOSE to exploit it to gain an unfair advantage in the game.

If there had been no punishment you would not be crying just accept the punishment for your wrong doing and move on you cannot justify it however you try to spin it.

I would have congratulated devs if they fixed the issue 1-2 months ago with a statement "sorry, we messed up insurance system and to solve the possible issues we'll have to remove nic which was obtained from it". But sitting on your bums for months doing nothing, then wiping pretty much randomly accounts to 0 nic. Deleting contents of t4 corp storages without saying anything and putting blame on players while pretending to be white knights on their blog? No, that's not the thing I'm going to support.

Btw, that post which I linked was made 1 month ago. And Saha is one of my chars.

I'm happy that devs are focusing on game development rather than watching at what u are doing. U just did know u souldn't have done that. So why did u so kid ?

You don't stop talking about the punishment. What about talking about what some people do to take an advantage UNFAIRLY over their opponents ??

I'm really surprised seeing people who exploited the game for months (and obviously knew about it) and now complain about being punished. Incredible ! In most games, u'd have been banned.

U should just shut up and be happy u can still play with ur current char imo neutral
