I agree with better motives. There should be a net of motives and struggels for any size of team with rewards for combat. Ultimately full assault for key-points but lesser goals for smaller teams and mining and industry should be part of it. Make us fight.

Well I just read that they are nerfing the speed of E-war so it might no longer be worth focusing Ext on, I was kind of waiting for something like that to happen. Now Waspish and missiles seams like a solid choice.

-waspish has a missile range bonus. it can fire its small missiles at high ranges with that.

-for using the trojar in roaming, you need nothing special in "EWAR". Special OP robot control on rank2 or 3 is standard for any build, and thats the only prerequisite

-all about roaming in bots is i high lvl in basic robotics, nav 10  and every locking extension.

if you've mastered a waspish, you can also use the trojar.

Nothing in E-war skills? isn't the point to be able to do long distance lock scrambles, demobs and some damage in between?

Looks like a well planned assault and not free roaming PvP to me.

What makes you think you can pvp with just ewar gang in most situations?

Even we bring mechs to deal with things ewar cant.

Seriously, most people die to our ewar gangs because they have zero clue how to fight.

For example.

Last time Hun visited our island with 8 ewar, we drove them off using 6 ewar.
We lost 2, they lost 5.

This show there is a HUGE gap of actual skill and organization, and not equipment or bot balance.

So my point stands: Learn2pvp

Funny, I have yet to see you use anything but E-war in your videos and when you make an example... you use E-wars. I would like to see you roaming around in mechs trying to PvP or assaults. Is it just a coincidence that only E-war is seen in videos of small scale patrol combat?

Heat IX missiles : 180m range

With these, a waspish can reach 300m easy.

well 61% should net us 288m but that´s pretty damn far. Waspish do seem like a viable option but how often do people stay after that first attack? Won't they just run away or if greater in numbers destroy the slower waspish? I guess a coordinated attack together with others wasps should net some kills though.

I never said I play solo. I just don't want to be stuck playing base attack/defense and from what I have heard and seen going out small team roaming in a couple of assaults looking for PvP will just end up with us dead not able to choose when to fight and when to flee because of assaults slow speed and the E-war range. Good to know that Troiar is viable.

Sure I can sit there waiting thinking about large size warfare with my mech but that won't mean *** if I log in and there are no people or nothing planned for right then. It just happens once in a while. So i feel E-war is the way to go right now.

How the hell can a waspish fire 300 meters? missiles are 150m with no fall-off I would need 200% range modifier. Is that even possible?

Siddy wrote:

sure it is not viable, that's why you see us using trojars....

idiot.

You do realize that trojar is an E-war? and not an missile assault bot? I sense a great amount of *** in you.

Well that doesn't really help me much in free roaming PvP does it? I will still be to slow to catch up to anyone or escape if need be. It's not viable to mix up a fast moving team with a slow unit.

So I decided to use my re spec since the LOS and stuff with laser and emp annoyed me. Figured I´d go missiles since they are fun to PvE with and decent PvP. But to be viable in all areas of PvP I have to go E-war or be stuck in one area with my missiles.

Maybe this will change but if there is one thing I have learned from mmorpg´s it´s not to play the waiting game for changes.

Since speed is everything the Intakt seems to be the way to go when roaming, is this correct or are the other E-wars equal? What about the missile spec?

This game is confusing as hell.

Yeah I saved up money and some nice Ext for my Mech but when I started hunting I made at least 5x the money on my assault. Then my Kain got blown up by a bugged e-bot running on mountains and shooting through them. I kinda feel like the game can just sit on the shelf for a month or two before I start playing again. I haven't got the time to play team most of the time and I am done grinding L1 newb spawns.

This is a really lame feature since it hampers small group PvP. Only way to fix it would be a log in timer of a couple of minutes. I don't see that as being a problem for people who has to switch from miner to warrior. It's a small penalty fitting such action, makes scouting even more important to prepare in time.

When I do that I have to add down time for healing, so I end up at something closer to 150 Nic vs 500 Nics. I actually make three times the money on L1 spawns maybe more. Healing takes lot´s of time...

That is pretty damn horrible, I hope they fix it for you.

I might be wrong, but I have a feeling that in most cases this is an issue of learn to play. I farm mission points because I make twice the money from it. I have an arbalest without any sensor amplifiers so I actually have slower locking time then others. I get angry rude tells once in a while from people in light telling me to *** off. But even with my slower lock time I have no problem getting kills. I have a feeling people are just too lazy to keep the number of targets locked at max and to lock on to fresh spawns. Grindspots are hectic in Perpetuum and takes a bit of twitch unlike other mmorpgs where you can just lazyclick. On a few occasions I have seen assault low locktime lockdowns though and then it's ***. But I have only seen it once since the beginning so it shouldn't be a huge problem.

I don't even use my sensor and grind kills a plenty everywhere. I just keep a constant 3 lock. Battle is a bit hectic gotta catch the spawning but it's kinda fun. To fight l2+ I have to team up.

Try to travel between the islands some have less grinders. Problem is no one does L2 so we get gang banged by the mobs thus everyone is stuck at L1. Circle. They should have spawns spread out with less mobs for solo play. PvE is kinda stupid right now.

Here.. Everyone starts maxed out on everything and you use EP to lower you skill to be unique.

BAM fixed everything.

Brilliant!  You better capitalize on this idea quick before someone else does!

This is an excellent idea but I believe it would be better if you lost ext randomly whenever you use a skill or type in the chat window. It would keep the game a challenge and in the end people will appreciate it.

What we really need is an item shop where you could buy an implant for 500$ that would allow you to gain 2 EP a minute. Would be awesome.

I like that idea. It would be a great service to the players.

I think they should make it so you get ten ep for every quest you. Doing a couple of hundred quests a day shoud be enough to be elite. Happy happy joy joy.

they could make content more dense around hub areas and more sparse further out. The world is pretty much empty canyons to get lost in with little enemies or stuff right now. Then we would have both.

Yeah I went exploring yesterday, walked forever through valleys and too the furthest shore line. The enemies I found didn't drop loot or was bugged and then I walked back to the L1 quest spot and grinded some cash. I now they want the squadleader speed boost to be great but it's really slow traveling equipped and there need to be something to go out and explore for.
