Complain? It's a small back-fire that effected everyone. Losses are logged and it's easy enough to work out what happened. It's highly likely any robots lost from the moment the lag happened (Which should be ZERO as NPC's stopped working and you could still move) should get reimbursed. So zero to reimburse. Good job we hauled all our cans.

Anyone lose any more than 80U in a field container? Sucks to be you.

Do you somehow take pride in being such a nondemanding customer?  Well..you'll at least get something acceptable.
I expected to 'gamma test'...everybody who joins a just released game does just that.
BUT am I alone in wondering how they thought this was ready for people to pay for it?

What we really need is an item shop where you could buy an implant for 500$ that would allow you to gain 2 EP a minute. Would be awesome.

this fellow must have money to burn.  I'll never play a game that takes money beyond a monthly charge to succeed.  Good god..that's not even a game anymore..it's a disposable income contest.

not really I have only 1 main character on each of 2 accounts. i created another miner on main account and then realized that I don't have EP.. lol. But I'll still use him as mining helper. So its actually zero alts and 2 mains. And EPs go to those mains only. Well I did spend a days worth of EP on my 'mining' alt. But thats no biggy. I'll keep him handy, maybe raise his mining skills a bit later when my main combat pilot feels buffed enough smile.

Well boss...sorry if i sounded a little testy...i'm feeling that way this morning, but this game is so obviously for team play..the logistics problems alone.. maybe you're just not approaching it in the most efficient way.  I was going to solo it also, but by Monday it was obvious what I needed to do and joined a well organized corp with experienced betatesters and a plan.  I didnt beta, so by the time I conquer the learning curve, the 'first days' openings would all be exploited.  This appears to be the best choice, do consider it.
I had made about 2 million to that point, btw, I had become the big Helio supplier for that area.   I think the free  carton of rolling papers with every Kilo made the difference.

The Newb areas are jammed right now because EVERYBODY is a newb.  This is a one time problem and soon the players will move past these low areas and the problem will mostly correct itself.

I'm sorry, but I really feel the need to add the comment: DUH!

Having played, and beta'd a WHOLE LOT of these games, starting in '97 when Ultima went public, I can agree with some assurance the payoff for assignments doesn't provide the same profit level / help advancing that similar newb missions in other games do.
Perpetuum, at least to this point, pays minimum wage. lol

'balancing'... have you ever seen the comedy skit where the fellow is trying to stop a table from rocking by cutting a little off one leg, then a little off another....eventually ending up with a table that still rocks, but is only 10 CM high?
Please try to avoid this typical nerfing path here.

A solo player AND he's splitting the training between 3 alts and he's not getting anywhere.
duh.
A little focus here would go a long way.
