You PvE'rs have no idea how much I wish I played this game when I could PvP flag and kill you while you were doing a "combat" mission. Go to betas and do some real combat you pansy.

lol

Welcome to a game that doesn't use PvE vs PvP fits.

So; "don't gripe about my 100% safe non-combat NIC making on alpha islands!" ...

When the mech can be fit for PvE and PvP -- not either/or -- why come off that beta island?

Oh, I forgot - you don't like risk for making NIC and anything that might make it more worth your time to risk it out there -- bad idea eh?

How's the gate camping going?  I hear some of you folks are back to trying that here too.  Not so hot?  Hmmm...  Maybe go off and see about doing some NPC's for a bit to kill the time.  Oh yeah, risk...  I forgot.

You are one hell of a funny PvP'yar...

If I had the ability to kill the NPCs on the beta islands believe me I would. I just don't have the EP backing to make my Arbalest proficient in it, and when I'm with a bunch of other people on the betas we aren't looking to kill NPCs.

Umm...Yeah...thanks for the level-headed and unbiased input Krall.

You are, in fact, only two weeks behind me in stating that Nex, if it hangs together, will be the dominant power in Perpetuum.

Moving on...

Doesn't change the fact that I am out on Betas roaming around 96.9% of the time I'm online, and I will be coming up on two weeks in game tomorrow I think.

Yeah, well I was trying to avoid casting aspersions on anyone's motives, engage in epeen-flexing or make a statement about why MY way of playing is superior to everyone else's and come up with a way that would be mutually acceptable to the largest number of players so we could build a little trust and have more people get more fun from the game.

But we all have to address what we consider to be the most important topic even if it is ourselves...

You can build any mechanic you want into the the game to foster PvP. Unless the populace is willing to go out and PvP, or you offer such great rewards for PvP that it is silly not to PvP, most people won't do it. And I hate games that have PvP rewards. PvP rewards are like a silver turd. Sure it's shiny but if all you are after is the glitter gofu ckyourself. Unfortunately PO, like EvE, is a sandbox full of kids that like to make sandcastles and cry for mommy when someone comes along and walks over it. Noone is out for the fight, only the win. Luckily I'm in a corp, that if it retains it's current size, will have no problem steamrolling the rest of you like last nights wrinkled shirt.

Trust me, me and a lot of other people wont be around to fund mecha cart anymore in about 30 more days. Unless you can get me a refund, then ill go right now.

Fact is, this game IS broken. Whats the point of beta? There isnt one, not when you can just run around risk free, making easy, free nic in alpha. The market is fubar, why? noobs dont bother mining, or ratting, they just sit around driving in circles...

Eventually they will all realize there was no point, lose interest, and play the next wannabe eve game.

Sadly this could have been a great game, if there was actually some sort of struggle involved to succeeding.

The fact that the devs of this game cant understand this, or just dont care, puts them right up there with ccp imo. As such, this game is doomed to be crap.

The question is not in how easy it is to make 2 mil Nic and hour, but what are you doing with it? Are you so afraid that some huge corp of 700+ members is going to run the triangle so much that a 10% tax rate on all missions finished is going to fund an army so huge that it will wipe your insignificant little faction off the map?

Just a question.

Anyone that is *** about the amount of money the "golden triangle" is paying compared to combat missions need to harden the fup, and if you want combat missions then run the triangle and then go out to beta with mechs funded by the proceeds and PvP. The problem with PvP isn't the game. It's the people. I go out nightly to beta islands just to find other people to shoot at. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. While I agree with Robbie that there is a slight imbalance of EP right now, I disagree that we should make a PvP island of lights and assaults. We just need more of the newer players out on these islands doing stuff.

It seems to me I am in the minority of X-Eve players that look for PvP while logged in. I run the "golden triangle" maybe an hour after I get off work and then I have enough Nic to by a bot, fit it all T1 and then head to beta islands looking for a fight. Sometimes people from my corp follow me, poor bastards, or I head out alone exploring and roaming.

Most nights I roam for hours and maybe see 1 person. Sometimes, like tonight, I lead 10 people to slaughter. It is mostly just me roaming empty islands though because 99% of the people that play this game, just like all PvP sandbox games, the populace is scared little sissy girls that cry when their stuff goes boom. So they make NovSov alliances and camp gates and undock far superior mechs and rub their e-peen off each others e-peens but will never go it solo.

Now, I'm not knocking those the legitimately like to mine or rat...  that is just not me. There is a reason I play PvP games. I like to confront other players and have fun. If I kill them, even better. I'm an A1 alpha male personality. I like to plant my foot in the ground and dare others to step on it. Always have and always will.

So in closing I would just like to say to the community. Go to betas more. Risk vs. reward is nothing when what you are risking is fun. You will win no matter the outcome.
