You can use the Games Export function in Extension History

Hmm yeah I noticed that feature only last night. I'll make a decision on using that in a bit, just need to get the code working nicely and then play with nice to haves... like progress bars to show how much CPU and Reactor has been used (Yes this has side tracked me, like adding in a pic of the chosen bot  tongue )

exe version would be easier because you can have the buttons do things, since macros dont work on some versions, but this would have less system req

GUI EXE fitting tool version is on the way! Set myself a project to get back into programming and its coming along nicely. Got the GUI going, data linking is fine and started on a character editor last night for the extensions. I thought about using Perp Planner but we all know its outdated so I thought I would settle for a less fancy homebrew spark editor for now.

Mostly the maths for applying modules and skill changes to contend with but its not that far off, maybe 1-2 weeks for a BETA release depending on how much free time I get. Got a couple of bugs to work out but hey, its fun. cool

I personally have been able to play Perpetuum again since around the big relay server lag patch, although I suffer some minor lag here and there.

My Asus gaming laptop runs Crysis at high detail without any problems, but I notice that when Perpetuum is lagging, the rest of my system starts to lag too.  My browser runs slower, applications load and are sluggish.

Whats interesting is that you state your system lags when PO does, I see that too. Its really annoying when my gaming rig can barely open a browser at the same time as PO suffering lag, its like its hogging all the system resources. You can see this effect when you close PO, if you try to load something your system will just hang until PO finishes closing and wham, system performance is right back up.

PO needs some optimizing love! hmm

1080!

Exactly the same issues. Can connect more often and stay on for a little longer, but still not safe to play without risking loosing my bot or not being able to login at all after a disconnect.

Ping Plotter indicates that there is a lot of packet loss all the way to Hungary, with most hops being over BT kit. (Although total loss accurs in Hungary mostly). My ISP subscription is up soon and my house mates have agreed to change ISP, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

If there are any UK players reading this thread - Could you tell me what ISP you use error/lag free? Muchas Gracias!

I just noticed youre on British Telecom; we have 3 people in the corp who start suffering from random disconnects and Lag N/A as soon as its peak-time in UK (18:00 GMT 0+ onwards).

I happen to be leaving work early to head to town, so I will be home around 13:20 GMT +0... I'll have a quick look to see what the lag/connection situation is before I head out.

UPDATE: Tried logging in and running two instances of Ping plotter... Hops and packet loses are the same, Lag N/A when logged in, kicked after a few minutes at 13:49 GMT +0. Guess its nothing to do with peak time in the UK for BT.

There have been many cases of disconnects and lag associated with being on the island of Tellesis.  I have had a few of those disconnects but others have had them much more frequently to the point they were afraid of engaging in combat without sufficient backup.

This issue also seems to be coupled with an inability to reconnect on your first attempt thereafter.  You will be removed from the game at the time of the failed reconnect, but its likely you will not get back into the game until the second try.  This seems to indicate that your session is not expiring and the server doesn't know what to do when you try to connect another time and boots you automatically.

I have not experienced such problems on any other islans, so it seems this is an island specific problem.

I am on the ASINTEC Alpha terminal island, so its not island specific, although you are experiencing a similiar issue.

DEV Karon, thanks for your post. If you check your thread "The network issues thread (client lag and disconnects)", you will see that I did this and emailed you the ping plotter data when I got home yesterday. smile

Okay, I had another thread open in Q&A and still have problems. After speaking to DEV CRM last night, I agreed to submit data as requested.

I live in the UK and my ISP is British Telecom (BT). I have a traditional router through a phone line setup. My internet connection remains reliable and fast during a PO connection/lag/disconnect issues. During the test, I was the only one in the house using the internet to the best of my knowledge. For the purposes of the test results, I chose not to use a VPN to show a true through route to the server and the issues on the hops.

Ping plotter detected a lot of packet loss as I approached hops near the PO server. After perhaps 18 minutes of playtime, I lost connection. When attempting to reconnect, I was immeadiatly kicked (after selecting agent). The client reconnected, then I selected agent and the client paused with a full loading bar - ping plotter showing full packet loss. I waited out 30mins of "play time" (okay so 12mins of watching a loading bar). I will email the ping plotter files as requested.

Speedtest.net results:
PING 44ms
DL Speed: 13.80 Mbps
UL Speed: 0.80 Mbps

Let me know if you want more data.

(Ninja edit)
18.57 - GMT+0 (UK) - 16/06/11 - Client disconnected.
18.58 - GMT+0 (UK) - 16/06/11 - Failed trying to log in after selecting agent.

The hardware and software appear fine, as I said this machine runs everything but PO okay, I suffer no issues when playing EVE for example. I live with 3 other people who all play MMOs, stream, DL etc all at the same time whilst I play other online games and I suffer no problems, and yet PO suddenly developed instability issues.

The only issue I have is PO producing some serious lag. Disconnects are likely due to such high ping or packet loss. Whilst I am in a position to change ISP soon, it seems a riduculous action when the game ran fine for over a week neutral

In another thread, someone posted that the servers for PO are as follows:

195.228.152.151
195.228.152.152
195.228.152.153

I can ping those and at the time of this post, I get a ping of 73ms.... so what the hell is going on!?

Hi Gents,
             After playing PO error free on a trial for at least a week, I subbed. Shortly afterwards, I have started experiencing many problems (since around Thursday 9th evening);

*Huge lag spikes that can top 10,000 ms.
*Continuous unplayable lag.
*Short lag spikes.
*Slow logging in after selecting the agent.
*Inability to log in after selecting the agent.
*Random disconnects either when in game or during the character login process.
*Missing modules even after being selected from the Terrain Window following a complete reinstall! (GM told me this is a known bug and that I need a Dev to sort it).
*PO crashing when trying to DL a fresh client. I have to close the program and restart it. (I have resintalled quite a few times).
*My (not very old) HD crashing hard when PO crashed during an install that took 5-6 hours of check disking to get the drive going again. (1TB Sata, no issues before, or since that one off).

I really need some help/ideas on this one, as I'm really loving this game but havent been able to play more than a couple of days of the 90 day sub I purchased!

I am a UK player, using British Telecom (BT) as my ISP. Seeing as they own all the infrastructure in the UK, changing ISP isnt an option. My DL speed is 13-14MBps, Upload 650kbps. I, nor any of my housemates experience any internet problems with any software or other MMOs played in this house.

My Comp:
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Motherboard: ASUS P5N32-E SLI
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU  E6750  @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.9GHz
RAM: 2048MB
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX
  Display Memory: 1510 MB
   Dedicated Memory: 743 MB
     Shared Memory: 767 MB
      Current mode: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)
       Driver Version: 8.17.12.7061

Please help!
