Topic: new content i would like to see

1st off... its a robot world with no flyers....   How about npc quad copter scouts that hover nearby and direct red mobs in your direction if you don't shoot them...

2nd player version quad scout flyer .. deploy a quad scout it just flies in a circle and enemies show up on your radar if near by to the scout.  counts as a squad member and is targetable by npc reds...  higher tier have larger radar and larger flying radius or  higher speeds.



3rd Deployable point defense systems.. a consumable light auto cannon turret that shoots your target,  need Indy skills to deploy them... you target they shoot your target.  last about an hour and self destruct or repackage themselves so they can be recovered, Ie, recharge batteries and reload ammo, so they need to be repaired before redeployment.  Higher tier for longer range and better rates of fire. targetable by npc's



4)aoe mortars ... inaccurate adjust power level for distance and take bot direction for fire direction.  would make interesting turrets for terminals too.

5)large weapons, takes 2 weapon slots, think mortars on heavies, siege weapons  etc..

what would you guys like to see?

Yes true, afaik there is still a development problem for any bot large than 1 tile, its just not possible, if there has been a progress on this matter it would be great news. This might be the biggest concern I have for this games future. Everyone will come back to try with larger bots on offer.

We have all been trapped (Devs/Players) with balancing issues of minimal concern, to most new players, maybe new content is what is needed most.

If the DEVs figured out how to make multi tile bots & seamless transition between Map Zones (being able to walk or "boat" from one island to another / larger islands) the possibilities of this game would be endless.

- good mission system to keep more ppl in game.
missions with more then one way to complete them (brute force/tricky/sneaky...)
instanced missions because you can set up stuff better there then in the open world (not nessessary closed instances)
lot different missions. some long that can take hours, some small can can be done in 10-15mins.
more syndicate suplies (topic for its own)
squad missions!
Timers in missions (dont have to be at mission start. but can be frome one objective to another) that way you can set difficulties in missions. most ppl can kill npcs, but if you cant kill them fast enough then maybe you are in the wrong mission.

- freighter class bot (50-100ku) (expensive)

- gamma fixes, ballancing and needed additions

- better user interface (especially for new ppl [default ui])


i dont think we need fancy new bots atm. we need new content and we need to fix the existing. after that we need more players. what ever follows after might be a different story.

Part of the problem is that you need an artist on staff to make new models/textures/ etc etc.  From what I understand there is not one currently working for AC (I could be wrong though).  So basically that leaves 3rd party contracting which can be extremely expensive, or hire someone which is also expensive.

@OP  I want an auto pilot that works.  (Seriously)

how about npc mercs to protect your gama... since the change to the terraforming around structures thing on gamma it would be good to have something to shoot at the tera formers ... even if its just chump npc crew.  they wouldn't be tough, but would require nic to keep them in employment.  Make a gama structure called a deployment terminal and the npc's spawn there and randomly walk around within a radius.  Higher tier structures employ stronger npc's

well.. terraformers are terraformers, that means they usually terraform their own cover so most likely they dont get shot much from turrets. at least if they do it right...

Terraforming around areas controlled by other people needs to be adjusted.
