Topic: The energy credit system

To keep with the lore and introduce more goals for solo agents and player Corporations alike, I really liked the ideas mention in these 2 blogs:

Is this in the pipeline to be implemented some day,  have you scrapped this idea or is it on the back burner?

In a nutshell: We are all in a space station orbiting earth , remote controlling zombie robotics life forms, on another planet. Nia has loads of energy which we can send back to earth and that's really our main goal.

I would imagine we are in a 'sleeping state' , on some type of 'coffin capsule'. I only wonder who could be right next to me smile

or you could just keep it real and bite the bullet...its a f..king mech video game. tongue

in thats story, the scientist talks about how he logs into the sync-OS back and forth several times... It sounds like matrix style connection... or Accel World Burst link.... (i doubt you know the later)

The concept for collecting energy is pretty much done, but we still need to work on what you get for it, and how we balance it for individual players and corporations.

re-reading through the old blogs about the EC system... hmmm most of the aspects are outdated, since mk2 mechs already released, gamma outposts already possible

and major fact: binding it to a ingame daytime to see the field is also problematic, even though most times i play its night (so there must be some that always plays when there is day on NIA - and that one would be pissed)

with the flawed tier system, the lack of differences in weapon system, or even the lack of personal character developement choices -> will the EC system turn into a must have to do feature, or an alternative to other features already ingame.

and aside of that, someone announced "colixium based" weapons and robots soon... I still wonder what they will be.

personally, im really looking forward to something like the EC system that implements a kind of PvE interaction based upon the backgroundstory, but its only a tiny little piece of a whole building that still has to be built. And according to zooms recent posts, they are still in the idea collection phase for PvE...
