I'd just like to bring up what happened to the server last time the EVE exodus happened, and draw a comparison with whats hopefully going to happen to the population when Steam comes through.

Imagine that it was newbie mining hardly all the day. And right when he was planning to start haul - BAM! - server crashed and he lost his container. He will be then all 
and don't even know about reimbursement tickets or just depressed that much that he decide to leave the game and probably shoot himself.
Or imagine if he suddenly have a shotgun and a ticket to the Hungary...
You know better then me what it's related to, I'm just saying if the server is having problems with beacons & explosion damage now with a microscopic population, imagine what kind of problems are gonna surface if by some miracle of Allah Steam delivers a healthy population.
Apply extra dose of spit & chewing gum, reinforce the hamsters. 
I'm just sick of having time to play and its down and then I get side tracked on something else, like hello Kitty Island adventure.
on that topic - any news regarding the server structure?
the current infrastructure seems pretty unflexible and unstable. what is centralised, what is instanced? Will instances and random mission create even more mayhem?
