Whats 'slightly', I mean just a sliver of dissapoint, (and bears the mark of your curse!) is that its the heavy glider with 720U. Meaning it's already the largest in that class, so use haulers looking for freighter sized (5000U+) capacity are going to have to wait for a new class of bots before getting those. Strategic (or commercial) instead of tactical hauling.
At only 720U I hope it can open cans.
They already said yes it will be able to open cans.
i will nickname it "blimp" witht the stats that got published in blog.
- slow like a lithus
- bigger and floating
- fitting its single legslot with a lwf to reach the same speed as a lwf-shield lithus will make it vulnerable like a zeppelin.
i hope it will not only explode but have nice "falling down in flames" animation aka Hindenburg disaster
I don't see the game play logic behind a wafer thin tank of the scarab. I know it hovers but it still carries 3 times the volume of a lithus cargo and its a larger class bot. I think it should have more base tank than a lithus specially if it going to cost around 200-300m to build/buy or we are going to see tears and whining if a few lights can take this one down. Oh, It has 2 guns slots...why?
Eve has shown that easy logistics are bad for the game. I dont get why people are talking about a lwf its clear its going to be a shield and four hardeners otherwise any spy escorting in a kain is gonna down half a bil in stuff.

If that is the only choice, might as well boost up the tank and make it slot-less bot.
well, there are still some values open:
- accumulator (size/recharge) i would prefere small accumulator with good recharge
- robot bonus (it could have an universal weapon bonus)
- LoS (as floater it could have a superiour LOS even with turrets)
- detection/masking (current hauler are shining beacons on radar, but with tank to compensate)
- hitsize (obviously its bigger then a lithus - even several shieldhardener wont compensate)

Remote sensor amps/reppers?

Meanwhile, we’re working on the foundations of the player-built structures system
perhaps you need some special modules to place those player built structures (im thinking of the nano-construction beam from Total Annihilation or Supreme Commander) and a huge cargo to transport the prebuilt structure modules.

The only way that will happen is when someone is stupid enough to haul stuff around beta or lets the autopilot get them around alpha....
Common sense and actually being at the keyboard--- priceless
Devs--- How about some extension info??? I need to know how much I need to save for this puppy!
I to cost around 200-300m to build/buy
To be a little more realistic, the retail pricing is almost surely going to be less than 100m (probably 45-50m in 4 months), but yes the first seeding units will be expensive until indy's buy and mass produce a couple of batches. How long it takes to saturate will depend on the extensions needed and how much the population fluctuates.
Unlike tiered gear or MK II's, anyone can RE this new bot and go into production, so it won't be 'rare' for long after the first few hit the market.
I just wish someone would post on pie forums
Shhh, those are super sekret!

We may be in for surprise and need those isotopes ('everyone' recycles) to build one
I can only hope
