I still am having major issues trying to download the client.
It goes about 1 MB then freezes up, I bumped my old post, but noone seems to want to help.
If you actually wants me to come back, maybe help me get the client sorted.

The link to download the dev gave me no longer works...
I don't think it would work anyway - it was only one build.
I just started download on a "fresh" client (deleted the gbf file and downloading it) and will zip and ftp this file. Stay tuned.

2. Do you have enough room on your harddrive?
3. How are you connected to the internet? WiFi + router + modem etc.
4. Do you run a firewall on the OS and if you have a router do you have it's firewall enabled too?
After the download freezes. Can you still access the net or is your connection gone?

After the download freezes. Can you still access the net or is your connection gone? It only is the updater, everything else works with no issues.

Just extract the .gbf and the .exe to the Perpetuum folder.

I still think it must be some firewall settings or antivirus weirdness.
I have seen UAC on win 7 do wacky things. I have had programs or games that would not update unless I had ran the program or game in admin mode.
UAC could be too yeah, I guess most people turn that off on day 1
