Assuming it's not a troll, it's his opinion so there is really no argument, like all opinions are subjective there is not really much to say, just that I don't agree and find the graphics on par with other modern mmo games. What is lacking is in texture details when zooming in but that's all, atmosphere (sky etc) is stunning imo.

Mmm...Voodoo 2. That came out in 1998, by the way. You're thinking more along the lines of the original Voodoo card if we're backing off the 1996. I miss the Glide API. DirectX as an API existed back in 1996, but OpenGL and Glide were a little more feature-rich and capable. DX2 was the first version I recall seeing games use and Master of Orion 2 (Win95 version as the DOS installer, of course, didn't bother with DX) was my first exposure to it.

I refuse to LARP with you in public.
Its just creepy though if it's not in public... I mean, creepier.
The way I weigh it, there are two alternatives.
1) LARP in public so everyone can see you casting pretend lightning bolts.
2) LARP in private so you can potentially claim you don't do it at all.
Given the two options, I prefer the latter of the two. No one else needs to know about the cross dressing elf girl outfits besides you and me.
private cross dressing... much much creepier, I feel you should share that with everyone and quit worrying about how other people laugh at you in public; they do it anyway, this way you can blame it on the pointy ears and a plunging neck line.

To get back on topic, the above comment clearly demonstrates exactly why the OP's claim that Perp's graphics compare roughly to games released in 1996 is unreasonable. Clearly, LARPing is possible in Perp and it's possible to do it better here than in any game released 15 years ago.
