Suggestion:
Please allow us to OP agents in the squad and propagate (give to) invite & kick permissions to the OPs of the squad channel so that the passing of SL is not so cumbersome.
Additional suggestion:
Allow for merging of squads by SL's.

Also allow me to propagate waypoints to squad in some sort of simple fashion. Like, right clicking it on the overview, or right clicking it on the map or something.

And add a Communication Nexus that allows you to see all that your squad sees on your current Island
And a spy nexus so we can see who is spying on us!?!!!
OR - you could not forget to pass SL all the time

bump with slightly different idea:
if squad leader goes offline, any1 in squad can "claim squadleadership".
This would mean that any of the squadmembers would have the option to dissemble a squad or invite unwanted guests, but squads are not meant for eternity or as "alliance-feature" anyway.
Um just make is some more then one person can invite.
It was like that in "that other game" and it worked out quite well.
I just have to come out and say Khalvarik is a very bad man who logs out with squad leader.
