Topic: Further ideas for additional play with intrusion 2.0 – a rough draft

After reading the new dev blog about intrusion 2.0 I got some ideas about a possible addition to it. A new concept could improve gameplay, fun and excitement in favour of non-blob corps and alliances.

The concept is all about non-player bots NPB. Points for non-player bots can be gathered by occupying an outpost at a certain stability level by a corporation (Perhaps also gained through other means for it can be difficult to get a foothold on an outpost in the first place). These points can only be used to defend an outpost when attacked.

How does it work? Well Corporation Small has managed to gather some non-player bot points and is holding an outpost on a beta island. The outpost is under threat by corporation Blob. Corporation Small is expecting huge numbers from corporation Blob to overwhelm them in an upcoming battle. The non-player bot points can help defend their outpost, with these points they can spawn non-player bots to aid them in battle. Corporation Small can only use the non-player bot points if certain conditions are met. If the number of agents of corporation Blob is more then 5 above their number they can call for aid. Every non-player bot point can spawn a group (3-5) of non-player bots which appear next to the defending agent that activated it.

Tactics and advantages:
-    fights are more balanced and fun
-    defenders have a means to counter blob warfare
-    blobs are discouraged, quality bots over quantity to win battles

Corporation Small
-    must be defending an outpost
-    can call for aid from non-player bots, for every 4-5 bots the attackers have in excess corporation small can spawn bots
-    can choose the faction of the non-player bots
-    non-player bots spawn next to an agent, timing during a battle is essential

Corporation Blob
-    discouraged to use blob numbers to overwhelm
-    needs to go for quality bots, not quantity when attacking
-    cannot call for aid from non-player bots when defending if their agent numbers are bigger than the attacker

Although I have not much experience with beta island warfare, I had to share this idea to see if it’s good and viable in Perpetuum, I hope you like this one. big_smile

Re: Further ideas for additional play with intrusion 2.0 – a rough draft

attack force comes with 5 assaults to lure you out,
then the Zergs come from left and right -> no time to call for npc assistance

what you see as "blob" is often a bunch of highly specialized, t4 equipped troops with at least 30% alt accounts for RR and NEXUS buff. Howh much higher can you get the quality level?

These non-player bot spawns for the defenders are immediate and they appear next to the agent. The response time is less than a second, only 1 click away to activate.
