Re: Lightweight frame

Its more a case of Eve has had 8 something years of constant balancing and changes to get to the stage were its fitting system is logical and makes sense.

They are right though.. somethings are not logical and just dont make sense even withing the games own system.   Its almost as if the devs are purposfully trying to be different from Eve, which is breaking the system. Its like they are trying to re-invent the wheel.

Its not so much that anything is in-balanced, its more that there isnt any room for clever thinking and exotic fits... pretty much every bot only has 1 or 2 ways to fit.  Ships in Eve can be fitted in so many different ways that when they come to PO, they are a bit sad to find that basically 't4 everything or gtfo'

I am no fitting pvp expert, probably more like a noob in this area, but I just feel added accumulated weight each module effects speed hinders in the creative options available, something eve didn't have.

RIP PERPETUUM

Pretty much. I'd like more variety in fitting.

Granted because we don't have a lot of chassis variety I'm able to do some really funky things to our assaults, but that's a different issue.

qft

so - can we get back tho the topic?

T4 Lwf is better then T1 - in EVERY aspect. There is not a single reason to fit something lower, except "not having a higher one"

This may be true for other equip too, but that is another topic. Seems like most of you didnt understand the example i made:

Medium Armor repair:
T1 = 750 kg, 180HP / 330 AP / 15s    (1,8 AP/HP @ 22,0 AP/s @ 12,0 HP/s)
T2 = 675 kg  180HP / 308 AP / 13,5s (1,7 AP/HP @ 22,8 AP/s @ 13,3 HP/s)
T3 = 700 kg  205HP / 319 AP / 15s    (1,6 AP/HP @ 21,2 AP/s @ 13,6 HP/s)
T4 = 800 kg  230HP / 330 AP / 12s    (1,4 AP/HP @ 27,5 AP/s @ 19,2 HP/s)

The T4 Armor repair consumes 7% more AP per cycle as a T2, but also has 18% more mass and if your aiming for capstable permarunning armor-repair the T2 is a valid option! The lower mass also can be hand in situation when you think a t4 light repair wont do it (which has the best AP/HP ingame: 0,9 AP/HP @ 5,8 AP/s @ 6,5 HP/s)

LWFs only have advantages going up the tier
