Why don't you guys try crowd funding to get some money to hire more developers?

I know there was a thread on it. But this was a separate thread asking why they don't or why they have not done it.

I have seen it work for reprints or second/forth editions of card/board games. So I don't see why they could not crowd fund all content expansions for video games.
You can crowd-fund pretty much anything you can generate hype for(whole games, parts of a game, game accessories etc). There are numerous sites for both US and EU companies, so the old US-only restriction has been lifted long ago.
If I were in their shoes, I would consider Jita's suggested model especially now that the game is F2P and they need ways to generate bankroll. Money talks and the suggested system has a great way of showing what >paying< customers want implemented.

They could quite easily make the game FTP and use in game transactions for server cost relying on this model to fund game development.
Things I would change for a fully FTP model would be:
Reducing ep gain without a booster by 50%
Reducing initial ep back to 20k
Adding PvP ammo to the cash shop
Have ep boosters by the day, week, month and quarter
I would then have ep boosted packages for sale with:
£10 for 40k ep
£15 for 60k ep
£30 for 100k ep

Bahahaha!!!
I've already paid for my subscriptions like other vets before B2P. Other newer players have paid their 30$ on Steam after B2P. I'd think twice about giving them 10 cents nevermind 10 bucks.
That being said, it's the internet and I'm sure there's enough gullible fools out there that could be scammed out of their money via kickstarter/gofund/other sites to double-pay them.
i cannot imagine that perp would get much from crowdfounding.
on the contrary,
i could imagine that if someone with a name in the industry, would start to raise funds for "perp 2" would get millions.

Nice make the devs feel good why don't you.

And I would explain how the economy works but... Alpha!
Never mind. Don't crowd fund.
Please close thread.
hows about I give them $30
how about you take dem $30 shove em in a crackpipe and smoke dem
Why would I give them money to be treated worse than other people by heavily biased EULA enforcing "because I said so" against me, vs "oh we don't care if *** directly violates the EULA, he's not in your corp"?
