Alex, using cogent, do you see these issues?

fra03 is the IXS Interxion in Frankfurt, which is where some others have mentioned issues. From my checking with my tracert at home, I actually don't use the cogent routers in fra03, but others mentioned it as an issue.

Global crossing uses fra04, which is Interxion also, just in another building, which they most likely have inter IXS routing between IXS's, so really they are all traveling through the same links to get to INXS in Munich, then to SIX-SK in Bratislava then to BIX.

Here's the info of the most likely path for cogent, I can be sure about gblx because the routers don't reply to icmp.

So, last night I did some packet capturing and ran ColaPing through the entire session.

Dev's were going to post an average packet size, but from what I saw on the capture, they where all segmented to the MTU, so I just set the ping to 500 bytes.

And, I had no disconnects last night. hmm

I did have to set the ping timeout to 1000ms, as there were a lot of missed pings at 500ms. And a few spiked pings, but no drops.

I'll do the same tonight, but I'll be just as happy if this doesn't recur!
