This whole post is based around 'bang for your buck' but unfortunately the prices are based on an immature economy.

Not really.  Neoxx's post was about relative power and killability, not NIC cost.

Maybe a silly idea, but is there room in the game for another tier in-between mech and assult, like a light mech?  Thoughts?

it just needs to be no deleting from cargo until you're in a station, plain and simple. sure it would be more inconvenient, but it solves all the problems, and it makes sense. That or a more sophisticated "eject" system, but the rules on cans and viewed/not viewed make it difficult to do something like that currently. either way, tweaking is needed.

so fail.  good god, so much fail.  Solves all the problems.  Yes, adding more downtime, travel time and busy work to a game is clearly solving all the problems.

Disagree.

It's ridiculous to think that hailing down damage on a container will somehow break it open, yet keep the cargo intact.

There should be a skill/finesse way to open them without being fired upon that does not require brute force, however (which is just fail).

I have seen plants with well over 100 count quantity, usually off the beaten path.  Will SS when I can.

Please do not give me something else to mindlessly farm within this game.....

Clearly, you would have to farm it.  We'd better drop the idea then, I'd hate to sandify your coozey.

Currently, market PVP between those who do control the epiton flow is pretty fierce, so prices are low.  Also, there is an alliance that basically said, hey all y'all, come to our island to make your wealth.  So now, instead of 3 or 4 corps controlling the flow, you have multiple ten's of corps, all trying to fatten the wallets. But if, and when, that changes, and it will, you may be singing a different tune.

Any of you pros ever heard of Furor Planedeflier?  Guild Leader of Fires of Heaven in the original Everquest, scourge of Veeshan, blah blah.  FoH got *every* world first in that game until Tigole Bittie's (yes, the Tigole of WoW fame) guild Legacy of Steel capped Avatar of war in the expansion.  Spawns were not instanced, it was race to tap and win.  FoH got about 95% of all server spawns as well.  I know this because I was in the "next" best guild on the server and enjoyed a new level of frustration every day.

Furor had an ego and a temper that makes Neoxx look like a kitten, but he was able to keep his players in line and as a result do things no one else on any server could.  He later went to work at Blizzard as a quest designer (for Tigole, ironically).

No one controls epitron flow right now, or there would be none on the market on ANY alpha island and I wouldn't have these 10 waypoints with high epriton percentages.  Strong Corp leaders could easily explain to corp mates why selling wasn't in there best interest, and employees would agree.  There isn't a corp or alliance strong enough, because there isn't enough leadership willing to actually play hardcore hardball.  Instead, you're here whining about whether or not you can get your gank kills.

Well, whatever I guess.  Be sure to keep buying on the market though, and thanks! smile

Removing safe zones/timers with no allotment for loading times/crashes isn't the best idea.

Couple ideas.

1) Put "carebear" buff not only on bots that port through, but any bot within 1000m of a terminal on a beta outpost when someone ports through.  Prevents all combat with other bears for x seconds.

2) There's nothing that says one input can't have many outputs.  Include "randomizer" element in transport terminals to beta islands that places people who port to a beta in one of six or so landing spots of x-distance apart.  Very low safe timer (only to allow for computer load).  Obviously, if a corp wants to go through as a unit, allow squad leaders to check a "port as unit" option that would funnel all squaddies to one location.

3) Stronger corp leaders.  Why in the f*** is there so much Epriton on the market, and for under 10 Nic???  Why are corp leaders not outright banning the sale to the market?  Trade it between established corps that can maintain an island presence, don't sell it to scrubs like me.  You give me no reason to ever join a corp and go get some because of your greed and weak leadership - I can buy everything I find too dangerous to get myself and still make a killing.  (And speaking of, why isn't seller listed on market?)

The second part of that is the devs need to make it a much higher priority to incorporate more harvestables on beta islands only, and more minerals as well, and change existing high level recipes without notice to include the new mats.

Finally, should give the Devs some patience on this.  It's pretty difficult to find an amicable solution that most sides can even tolerate, much less enjoy.

Festive yuletidey greetings.

Sent an alt out to get ratings of all the crafting outposts.  Probably all old news to guilds but /shrug.  Enjoy.

P.S. Nice move using the Akheva2 with demob ray to kill me today, AXE peoples.  Was a good play. wink
