Yeah, the game's definitely down for the night.  I went to enter the alpha terminal on Daoden via 'use' key a couple times before I noticed the lag.  It took hitting the 'Enter' button on the top of the screen to confirm it.  Time was around 6:53 or 7:53 central time earlier tonight.  Time of typing this post is 9:57pm and when i went to log out my bot was STILL outside the terminal.  I know I might have to reinstall the game due to a prolonged game shutdown I did through task-manager.  Here's hoping I don't wind up losing my character due to these issues and my condolences go to those who lost stuff. Hope they can get the server(s) back up in proper working order before the steamlings get here...

Same thing just happened to me when I was getting the 1.93 MB update. Update completed, went to connect, hung for a few seconds, then promptly CTD with a "Windows detected that this program did not run correctly" window.
I then went to launch the game again (have the icon on desktop) and it froze for a few seconds @ upon connection attempt then CTD again w/o the window.
I finally right-clicked on icon and hit 'run as admin' & game launched properly w/o any issues.     

This game has (to my knowledge) always been buggy when it comes to patches and still has a long way to go b4 it's completely stable. Hope this helps other people if they have issues w/ the update, and from what I seen so far, this game needs all the help it can get.

BTW, does anybody how one can post pics on here? I'd like to upload a pic the error window I got...
