With current state of population in game i beleive the game is struggling on many fronts and for quiet
some time now.The area i wish to talk about is PvP.Currently it is based on holding and protecting your
base from other hostile corporations.I beleive current active players cant support corporation warfare
in any real epic and continuous encounters.What i propose is a FFA PvP enviroment to cater for current
low active players.
PROPOSAL:
The players could nominate an island and that island would be FFA for a week, at which time the players
can nominate another island for another week. WE can rotate through the islands on a weekly basis.
RULES and GUIDELINES:
What i see here is less rules is better.
The more rules there are equals to more policeing and breaking of the rules.
I would like to see the basic honor system used.
Rule 1: Players choose an island
Rule 2: Players choose robot class for that island
(*Example* Island chosen is Bleumon and robot class is assaults, following week it could be Shuzhon island
and mechs only)
As for tier level gear, dont bring what your not prepared to lose.
TIMING:
Xmas is upon us and players will be away enjoying the xmas period.So better to hold of til middle/late january.
Also if and when this STEAM promo gets going and the floodgates open with new players flooding in (hopefully),
I would like to see the alpha starting islands nominated frequently. Reason being all to often i see
new players in general chat asking "WHERE IS EVERYONE?" and "IS THIS GAME DEAD?" The new player see's
nobody around and asks questions like this.Majority of the player base is based outside of Alpha.
If the new players see's all this pvp going on around him then he could join in or just spectate.
Hopeing its an enjoyable expereince for the new guy and he runs off and tells all his mates to come try
Perpetuum online.
CHEATS:
How to address cheats? quiet simply we cant and shouldnt have to.If you feel the need to cheat then your
part of the problem and i fear perpetuum will be dead sooner rather then later.(if it isnt already)
DOWN THE TRACK:
If all goes well Maybe DEVS could look at putting a FFA PvP island in the middle of the map joining all
6 alpha islands.
CLOSING:
Remember players , this is FFA PvP. If we go down the road of 5 v 1 Gankfest then this will be all for naught.
