The influx of players is very welcome, even if it caused an unknown issue.

Tread Safe o7

I'll be here in full once I get Wine + Perpetuum working.

Each tile has from 1 to 255 'cycles' of resources in it. Each cycle has a base yeild. You can increase the yeild per cycle as well as decrease the time it takes for each cycle. Better yeild gives more material per tile, while faster cycles empties the tiles quicker. Faster cycles however also require more skill in accumulator, so your almost always better off increasing yield - this is also true on alpha because the number of cycles and the sizes of the fields are smaller, which means you have to move more often with faster cycles.

The mining game is played in the hanger with module and extension choices, and by keeping your miner safe from roaming NPC's.

I am a little confused here, let me ask the following:  Does a tile have a FIXED amount of resources? and your speed determines how fast you deplete it? Or should I view it as there will be a base amount of loss per cycle, and you reduce that loss with skill, hence the fixed cycle count?

The "mining' tutorial I watched showed a robot standing still, not jet canning, nothing, in fact one could walk away and as long as rats weren't around, mine till your cargo was full or tile empty right?  I assume there are MANY types of ore, not just Titan? also is there some kind of plant gathering?

How is the Rat AI? does it get smarter the farther out you go?

Thanks again

Excellent thanks!  I hope you don't mind all the silly questions, if there is a better source, let me know, most of the wikis and guide's I found are very basic.

I hate to keep going back to Eve, but with the mining I've seen it seems quite ... non-interactive, am I right?  Scan, focus and stand there?  There are no drones or really ways to "improve" by your play beyond "where to mine" correct?

Are there multiple tiers of ammo?

I know there are "named' modules, are those produced by players or drops?

Are there Assignments on the pvp islands?

Are there haulers or do you move robot by robot?

How does territory work? I am of the understanding that the player corps can take "bunkers" or similar items on the pvp areas, do they have to stay online to hold them?

Again, thanks!

ok, if you don't mind, I will OT my own thread here.

In the player based economy, do players make all items?  Modules? Weapons? Ammo? other things i don't know yet? Are there "rigs" or custom mods for your Robots?

THanks

Thank you both,

To expand, you may have to do the missions as a squad depending on the level your attempting; that is if your faction isn't high enough to see level 2 assignments, you can't initiate the assignment, but anyone that can see it, can accept for the whole squad.

That is perfectly acceptable! Now is there a "preferred" trade hub in game? as in Jita in eve, and then is one race better than another for that reason, as I can't see markets on trial sad

Hello All,

Only played a bit of the "early assignments".  Does it matter for PVE if my buddies pick different races? can we do assignments together?  use the same log off points?

Thanks

I can't wait until we realize they aren't alive but instead an alien race controlling them with super secret systems we've not detected...

if you restart crossover install it works, but it's a bit buggy with mouse control and chat box selection.  I am trying a wine install now, it appears to work fine, except I've read the map does crash it at times.

I want to say that I found the game to be very interesting, I think it needs more "fleshing out" but I'm definitely considering a sub, I'm encouraging many of my non-eve friends to try it out because while the initial impression screams EVE, once you play it, you see it isn't EVE, it is *fun* ... now I love and have fun in eve, but that's at a much larger level, pvp is heart pumping, but there is seldom the thrill of the hunt, that is where Perpetuum really captures something new in my opinion.

I've love to offer support for some of these ideas:
* Font sizes should be adjustable so users with less good eye sight, or high resolution monitors are able to play the game as well. (PLEASE be UN-eve-like here, help us on laptops!!)

* Robot colors were customizable. ( I know you're adding this with MT soon, but if there were an in game way as well ... and/or player corp logos)

* You could disable the blinking mode of chat channels. (please do that, I tended to just minimize chat as I didn't like swapping back and forth, yet didn't want to close them either.)

* Left click to select targets, left click and drag to move the camera, right click for contextual menus. ( I found the right click to be a little odd, and didn't see a left click reserved use, so as an option, it would be quite nice!)

* Ctrl+A in cargo, should select all items. (I don't know how to say PLEASE more)

* It would be cool if the "view item details" window also had a "view in 3d" option. (neat idea)

* Master volume in audio options. (agreed)

* Ctrl + S to mute / unmute all sounds. (nice idea too)

* After pressing escape, there needs to be a "Return to login screen" aside the "quit game" option. (agreed!)

As to the website, when you aren't logged in, if it said login and register and those were links, it would be more convenient.

To those who think the former eve players are being rude, I am sorry for that, I would say we're looking for a new game and want it to be awesome! (hence we see great now, and want more!)

best,
Ant
