Hi chaps (and chapesses)

I'm a new player in Perpetuum, looking for a corp, and figured posting here would be a good start...

Things about me, that may or may not be relevant...

- I am very British, which in this case means I am slightly strange, like hats and tea, am polite to a fault and would like to play with others in the GMT timezone
- I am an 'older player' - I'm 40 this month, which although ancient in gaming terms does mean that I've played a *lot* of these MMO thingies and I'm not a terrible player
- I'd very much like to shoot stuff - I really enjoy the challenge of human opponents, so PvP is a must
- I'm not especially into the whole mining thing, but happy to play scout / guard duty etc.
- I will probably get exploded... a lot... Although I won't necessarily enjoy it, I need to accept that it might happen!
- I am a quick learner - I'm willing to listen and learn
- I'm very active in Teamspeak and all those thingies...
- I play around 2-3 hrs a night during the week and have more time at weekends

And.. I think that's it, so this is my clarion call, is there anyone out there?

Thanks,

Cas.

Hi there,

I use  a Logitech G13 Gamepad to play most games - it reduces chances of RSI and just allows me a greater degree of control.

However, for some reason, Perpetuum doesn't recognise input from the G13 at all, no matter how I bind the keys, either within the G13 or within Perpetuum itself.

Can you let me know if there are any plans to add support to the game, if this is a bug or if there is anything I can do to allow me to use the hardware please?

Thanks,

Cas.

I have a couple of questions about the markets system, specifically the rates area.

The questions are:

Under Rates, there is a dropdown called 'market' that can show local and global, and I'd like to know what/how many markets are covered by each, in terms of quantities traded.

For example, if I choose 'local' and select a specific type of ammunition, I might see that 1,200 has been sold in the last couple of days, whereas global might show that 8,000 has been sold.

1. Under 'local', what markets is that referring to? The specific outpost I am in, all outposts in the same region as me, 'markets in range' or something else?

2. Under 'global', again does that refer to every single market and sale *everywhere* in PO or does it relate to a subset (e.g. all markets in range?)

Any light you can shed is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Cas.
