Topic: Lag & rubberbanding on 2014-06-02 - Need info!

I received a couple of tickets today about a fight happening on Norhoop around 22:30 server time. Players report crippling lag, rubberbanding and disconnects around that time.

I'd like to ask those who DID NOT TAKE PART in the battle to tell us whether they experienced such things at the same time, and if they did, which island were they on.

Please also post if you were on Norhoop but did not have any lag.

(Those who already sent in a support ticket should not post, that's noted.)

On Norhoop at time of battle, in mix of battle NO LAG

I had massive lag on hershfield at that time.

Nah, VDSL 50Mbps, stable.
I never lag in Perp but that fight was terrible.

We got lag and also some of us were kicked from the server.

I speak broken English.

4 MB, Mid US. 

Saw both fleets client dropped.

Logged in couldn't move for the rest of the time.

I was on Norhoop all day with 3 clients (only 1 was at the battle), I didn't personally experience any lag or hear anyone in our TS talking about lag.

Realy m8 ? you just took a dive on my respect list just saying ,

luckely i know that we did experience horrifying lag and i have chatlogs of your guys confirming you guys had 18k spikes also

I was on terrain with Jiggly Puff, Syndic, Yammosk.

0 lag for me.

I never had an ounce of respect for you, so that's alright.

Nobody in our TS was talking about lag except Lemon who was trying to shoot people from work via Teamviewer.

I never had 18K on my Iphone, however, when things started exploding on the hill when the first heavy went down I noticed my ms went upto 1500 and it was a steady 650 thoughout the fight until I got a phone call sad

Didn't ticket but did disconnect twice. 10+ seconds activating weapons and rubber banding alongside some screen freezes and other ***. Wasn't unplayable but was very difficult to manage special awareness and lock targets.

Would be also good looking at the in / out reports for the participants.

I had two alts on tellesis with no lag during the fight (well none noticeable I was mining) and a character in the fight.

Lag spiked hard when I detected their entire fleet then it leveled out and was fine.  It reminded me of detecting a gamma base.  Just a hard spike then its normal.

central US so I dunno.  I heard some players in the fight from EU with mega fast connections lagging out, while some people from the US with...nothing special....being just fine.

However I think the intent of this thread is to find out if people were lagging who were not on norhoop during this fight.

The guy who was frapsing from our side was in murica and got no lag.

There were 2-3 people who crashed at best. Everyone else seemed to be moving fine.

Thanks for the help guys, I think we can be fairly certain that this wasn't a server issue, but rather problems for individual players. (Could be either client issues or network problems.)

And basically that was the point of this topic to find this out, so I'll close it.
