Topic: thinking about returning

So been gone for almost a year maybe 2 been playing mechwarrior online and such. How is the game doing and what has changed?

Its in roughly the same state population wise. The balance has been completely destroyed, the political landscape is practically the same, Gamma has been fixed and then the devs broke it again, generally its in a poor state.

The only glimmer of hope appears to be a move from the old buy to play to something closer to free to play / really cheap buy to play. We are not there yet but not far off, that may at least give the game a steady reasonable population so its not quite so much like fraud selling the game as an MMO.

Proverbs 23:20-21 warns us, “Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags."

all that talk about destroyed balance is overexaggeration. before and after balancing patch, there have been useless robots. And if you look at what is beeing used... its like nothing has changed much about that, its just different in details.

and about the MMO tag... doesn't stand MMO these days for "Arena based online only game without PvE" ?
to think that after 20 years, multiplayer with more then 8 player per instance is still beeing called "massive" big_smile

Heavies go as fast as assaults, yellow is superior to blue and green at heavy level in two different weapon types and out performs green damage by 2.5X, the Seth mk2 is a better neut platform than the ictus, only one of the three races assaults can de rendered unabke to be demobbed ... I could go on.

They just broken things that were already broken so they didn't broken anything at all
