Quick update for now, big blog coming up very soon:
Good stuff. I like particularly the introduction of some faction standing based content and hope there is more to come.
I also expect a 2756 post topic on the removal of spark teleports. I really don't think we've covered that one properly on the forums.
Looking forward to seeing what the "over 30" changes were you discussed at your internal.
+1 to the token cut.
-1 to the syndicate shop items, unless you have something in store for crafting
The heat map looks cool, keep those coming. Overall good progress has been made, can't wait for the next blog as this game need smaller updates that doesn't take ages but will improve the gaming experience. I wonder what is going to happen to the GUI overhaul, is that the next step still?
Is the heat map showing where missions are being done?
Is the heat map showing where missions are being done?
Yes, it's showing the locations and connections between all types of objectives that players have done.

As you might guess, the GUI overhaul is a massive undertaking, not a quick update. It is still on the table, and it is next in line when we decide to start a new big project.
So is the syndicate supply shop getting buffed in the next patch? (Friday)

As I wrote in the blog the price inflation will happen in about a month, and that's when the new items will be added too.
That's some nice changes, a lot going in the right direction I think. Looking very much forward for the roadmap blog!
so... I think your syndicate supply shop is missing something.

You mean black bots?
250k tokens and L6 requirements
250k tokens and L6 requirements
250k before or after inflation?
The new items won't be in till post inflation right?
Correct.
Well if we take that a level 6 mission gives you roughly 300 tokens after the inflation, with a 250k price tag that results in about ~800 completed missions for a black robot.
Do you think that's reasonable considering the intended scarcity of these robots?
How long should a typical mission take? 5 to 10 minutes? 67 hours to 133 hours in a pvp zone? That's reasonable imo. But, if your willing to put them in then the player base won't care how much it costs.
Tbh though you could push it to 1 million price tag. That's 5 to 10 weeks of farming like a mofo like its a job. And never getting interrupted.
And if you give alpha residents "long term goals" they'll enjoy the pve experience....
Correct.

That depends on what you want them for zoom. As a trophy / pve bot:
Depends on the size of the robot. If your talking mech size then yes. Heavy I would double, assault about half.
I would also add a significant nic cost, perhaps 150 for an assault, 350 for a mech and 650 for a heavy.
As an extra tier of Pvp I would keep the nic cost static and reduce token cost to one fifth of those values.
Maybe add an extra bonus for all of them too. I suggest +30% ewar strength. That should see them on the battlefield.
That's room for a completely different topic. Right now we have the heavyset. This item should be a pure token cost. Save the nic for buying the tokens.
Sure, setting a too high price will turn soughtness (is that a word?) into frustration instead. But we'll also have to consider the big dogs basically outsourcing the job through token buy orders and getting the bots without the need to do missions. Not that it's bad if the token market gets some buzz, but we wouldn't want to see a corp fielding a whole army of black bots.
Well ultimately you don't want to replace production in the game, but with that being said people spending 100 billion nic to get one distributes the wealth out of vets into your newer players hands. I don't know about you but that excites me! Also you can think of them like the Titans in eve.
Correct.

Honestly I think it's time to put the black bots off the table as a trump-card for new content.
Make a yellow arbalest, call it a Lemonlest, change it's robot bonuses to be something else, put it on the syndicate store as a "faction ship" for some XYZ faction requiring X relation.
Black bots were tournament rewards, there was supposed to be only 10 of them in existence (omitting the 1 granted for some steam-posting and god knows who else got some).
12. Keep up please.

Why not? Better to have something used than sat in a database with the game devoid of new content.
You know what an army of black bots is? A juicy target. Something worth killing perhaps.
