Re: LAGS!

Zoom,

Despite all the complaints and name calling towards you, you really do have the most amazing community on the internet.  If this crap were to happen to Facebook it would turn into Myspace in 6 months.

Most of the perp community is still here, living on alpha islands, not playing the game,  complaining on the forums.  Fighting in PvP battles from time to time.

It's mind boggling really.

Define most. Your looking at about fifty die hards from 15000 players. That's 0.3%. If the player base was a steak dinner we are the bit that sticks in your teeth that no matter how hard you tongue won't leave.

Proverbs 23:20-21 warns us, “Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags."

Re: LAGS!

What makes this game shine is the 100+ man battles.  What pisses me off is AC has consecutively introduced patches that slowly make those fights increasing less.

Like all you new players will never experience :
Follow bots and the 1000+m fights
Sneaky assaults
Terraforming for 3 days straight
Terraforming massive shafts in the ground
A lag free game
Actual new content
Forum poo flings
A post by the character Ville

All these great things you'll miss out on.

You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Lack of that pretty much killed the game. The last nail that gunner was talking about.

I believe pvp could be very exciting and the game has what it takes. But this is game is ruined and we all know  by who, it´s by corps like CiR, -77- and PHM. - by Fu ManChu

Re: LAGS!

So in Avatars defense, most of my lag and disconnect issues were solved by my ISP.  Cable co. replaced main line down alley, the drop line to the house, the house wiring to each room, even the equipment interconnect wiring and splitters.  Problem solved.  Rock solid 125 mS ping.

I think just need to do the NORMAL routing.
I do not understand why my traffic chase around. Add a lot of additional nodes, etc.
Each additional node increases the likelihood of loss of traffic.

Re: LAGS!

At this time I think that there has been an improvement in my lag.....some static pvp was good on Norhoop (no change in ms, but back on Hershwasok as well, but have not had med level battle around plants yet to know if it is fixed...But this is positive from not being able to do pvp in the past

Re: LAGS!

An update on lag.....I have been in 2 major battles today. The first on Norhoop and then Hersh. Was playable, minor lag spiking...positive.
then
The second shifted from Nohoop to Hersh on the teleport....lag quickly went 5000,then N/A..recovered for a few seconds and back to N/A, 30 000. Not sure why or what the difference was. unplayable though in last fight.

its one of the game mechanics suspected for the lag: teleporting between islands (aka server instances). I could not confirm it as a cause last time zoom asked me if it may have been a reason, but perhaps more active gate-campers like peanutbutter could

Leaving. We are deceived. These losers (telia.net/internap/etc) can not deal with its routing. They need the normal system administrators.

You still believe that you have no problems with your ISP?..

3. 10.1.236.173 - 37 ms - 11013
4. 10.1.230.209 - 69 ms - 11013
5. 10.1.230.238 - 61 ms - 11013
6. 10.1.230.62 - 64 ms - 11013

This route inside Galaxy Drones ISP. Already there he got 64 ms ping.

For example my ISP:

2     1 ms    <1 мс    <1 ms  176.196.0.129

6   102 ms   101 ms   101 ms  80.249.209.187
7   105 ms   105 ms   105 ms  72.26.219.246

Not out of the woods yet, a small 7 on 7 there was horrendous lag had by others in TS and warping around today.  I on the other hand only had spotty lag here and there.  It was around a small tree patch.

and here you're right. There are problems with autopilot and plants. It happens cause of autopilot builds a path, using your local terrain data. Each time he encounters with changes - he trying rebuild the path "on the fly". TBH not everything is good yet in there.
