Topic: Scheduled server downtime - 2014-09-17

Server will be down for the deployment of the gamma revamp patch on 2014-09-17 from 11:00 server time (CEST). Since this will be a rather extensive update it's a bit hard to give an estimate for the downtime, and it might extend well into the late afternoon or evening. We'll keep you updated.

As mentioned in the blog, gamma islands will be still closed after this patch as we're taking a bit of precaution and look for any game breaking bugs outside of gammas before we open them.

seems like DEVs did CIR a favor by reducing the entry points to domhalarn (inter island teleport from tellesis will only reach the two south tele now, and one of them is a direct connection to the imho best gamma island to build a shut-off T3 turret defended base.

As said in the blog, don't build long-time strategies on the current teleport connections. Some connections will be remade and new ones will come with additional gamma islands. (Teleports won't be moved though.)

I have tried to play the game after patch, I downloaded the patch and waited/tried to log in for next half an hour.
If tomorrow is going to be the same then I'll have to take break from this game until it's fixed.
As soon as the midnight happen the game loaded nearly instantly, either someone/something is holding me from loading this game quickly or it's just lucky me. Can someone explain this phenomenon of mine?

The game used to build up a torrent like connection to the server - and some ISPs are blocking torrents. such ISP side limitations used to cause issues.

THIS could be outdated information.
For me the ~50mb patch loaded like a charm and i could log in right away when the server opened up.

New: Orange (passive) NPCs will now aggress anyone in their vicinity who activates remote support modules. This means remote armor repairers, remote sensor amplifiers, and remote energy transferers.

New: Buildings can only be placed within the network construction range of terminals (1-1.5 km depending on tier). Also, you are not allowed to connect any abandoned building to your network that is outside of this range. The exceptions from both of these rules are: mining outposts, energy wells, accelerator strips, and command relays.

-This is bad.  IMO

I know your trying to stop sprawl but it really is limiting.
