A think most older PvPers are well aware that losing is part of the whole concept. Doesnt matter how good, well geared or experienced you are, you lose sometimes. Might be harder for newer PvPers, but I guess its just a phase they have to go thru.

I disagree, it matters how well geared you are.  If you can lose bots repeatedly and know you have replacements you tend not to care about losing them.

add the factor in where you know what your opponent has to care about losses, and you get why noone wants to fight you...

Re: The psychology behind 'losing'.

Losing is all a matter of perspective , you can gain a lot more knowledge from 'losing' if you try hard and learn from past mistakes. Winning will give you confidence , although you won't learn much, if anything at all specially if you win by large margins. Now that's where winning gets boring.

I can also understand rinse and repeat grind and losing time and time again knowing you are outclassed and outnumbered , can break your will, and just say *** it, I quit.

You do? The killboards don't support this statement, and we logged in the other day to provoke a fight, waited around for a half hour or so outside tellesis, and on the gate and only 3 people showed up and wouldn't engage. Jita and I shot each other under tellesis and neither of us fit a rep so we were both on fire and I even said as much in general chat and no one even bothered to undock and check.

I don't consider playing other games and being on jabber to be the same as playing perpetuum.

Reset each other yet?

Just because we don't bite the hook a couple times doesn't mean we are not there. We are just currently full and spawning. smile
