Topic: Perpetuum Credit conversion info for April 2

As you know, we're dropping subscriptions on April 2. The blog has a statement that concerns subscription times spanning beyond the day of the payment model change:

Any subscription that spans beyond the day of the payment model switch will be converted to the appropriate amount of PC and added to the account.

The "appropriate" part is a bit vague here, so we'd like to clear it up.

The first three months of account activity are being used to convert the account into a lifetime account, even if this activity expands beyond April the 2nd. Only the game time that both expands beyond April the 2nd and is above the first three months is converted into Perpetuum Credits.

So if you just create a new account and buy 3 months of game time you won't be receiving PC as they are used to convert the account into a lifetime one.

Examples:

  • You have 9 months of subscription in the past but currently don't have any active subscription. -> You get a lifetime account but no credit compensation.

  • You have 3 months of total subscription time of which 2 months extend after April 2 -> You get a lifetime account but no credit compensation.

  • You have 7 months of total subscription time of which 3 months extend after April 2 -> You get a lifetime account and credit compensation for 4 months.

  • You have 4 months of total subscription time of which 2 months extend after April 2 -> You get a lifetime account and credit compensation for 1 month.

Note: I'm using months in the example to make it more clear, but the conversion will be based on days. So even if you're over the 3 months with just a day, you'll receive credit compensation for it.
