Topic: Primary Lock Cycling Change

Couldn't find anything about this in search, but maybe someone can point out a discussion thread if it exists.

Why do weapons stop cycling when I switch primary targets? And when was this changed?

It was always a nice fluid mechanic, switching between primaries without having to manually cycle weapons, especially with missiles. I miss it and not having it makes NPC grinding just that one click extra tedious now. Boo.

Now can be used in exploit to shoot two targets at once. Quite amusing.

I've seen that video. So is that a SIDE effect of the primary lock change?

If you don't know WHY it was changed Burial, then who the hell does? Zoom?

Turning off the modules was the only way we could fix this:

How many times is it annoying that you cannot unlock a target versus how many times is it annoying that you have to click all your guns again every minute when killing NPCs?

Not convinced its a good trade off. Not even sure what that 'problem' was.

Perhaps in future if you find a way to fix it another way, bring back auto-cycling between primaries ...very useful and fluid mechanic in otherwise tedious NPC grinding activity.

Re: Primary Lock Cycling Change

From recent patch notes

New: Unlocking targets will now also work without the need to select them beforehand, so you can quickly empty your targeting computer this way.

Now that there is a new "unlock all targets" mechanic do you think you can revert the change that destroyed a great fluid QoL PVE mechanic as described in this thread.

Hmm Zoom?
