The title pretty much says it. I'd like us all to be able to use an ICE to double our experience point accumulation for any given month.

This is a terrible idea.
EP should be balanced so that skills get more expensive the more you train them so that older players have get a bonus but not a super advantage.
Oh wait, it already works like that. ICE is just for game time, not EP.
I could go into more detail about how it's cheaper to get 5 skills to level 5 than 2 skills to level 10 but you should already know that.

Pay to win , no. You can catch up as Alex explained. We already have Nic for sale for the rich players, that should be enough.
I like the game and I think its great. Has lots of bugs, and code clearly needs to be fixed up some. But one of the few things in game that is perfect is the EP system. Its fair to all, and encourages game loyalty. From a business perspective, and dont forget Perpetuum IS A BUSINESS for the Devs and Avatar Creations, its the system on which they collect their money. Other than the occasional perk here and there, EP should remain constant and not be able to be "caught up". You dont need EP equal to someone else to be as good as that person.
NO ! Ep should always be gained at the same rate ... if you left and didnt keep your sub and now your back wanting to catch up sry dude... keep subs running, keep EP as is...
people who have been playing the game longer will generally have an advantage .. that's just how life goes, its called experience.

This has been brought up on many a topics, most of all the people there have said No.
This would basically COMPLETELY change how the game is played, you go from time based to paying to get ahead of others.
As it stands now EP isn't really a massive bridge to being with, you can get into nearly any heavy with ease, but you have to be smart enough and ask the right questions, EI : Spec into it completely.
What this is spawning from (why Sir is asking for this) is because he would like all of his toons to do MORE with less.
YOUR not suppose to be able to do everything with ONE to TWO toons. Its just not possible. Until the more late game of just waiting, waiting for that EP pool to raise and even then its not the smartest idea to do so.
If you want to just splash $$ money to get ahead, get 5-6 accounts and start specializing. You would need to wait though like the rest of us.

You (OP) ask for something that is already working. .. ice will allow you to gain 2x or more EP than you normally would you just have to add in additional accounts to take advantage. You can run as many accounts as you like all getting free EP from ICE.

What would you gain, if you could buy extra EP? You could use a special fit a bit earlier, get earlier into HM MK2 but in the end, you can't get up EP, if those beeing in 1 MEP-Club spend as well some ICE to get double EP.
For most cases, you can say, that after 3-4 months EP your at a point were you can compete, if you specialised on a role. After 1 Year EP I think you could fill most roles with near perfection (if not every relevant externsion maxed, feel at least no big difference) and start skilling "sideroles". Like RR for miner char, Ewar for fighter, another bot color or something. That means if you really want to spend double the amount of $$ you might wanna have another account specialising on a pure role.
BTW I hope, Devs will add new skills any now and then to ensure, I never have all extensions maxed, as I like the idea, that you take some decisssions, even if you learn they were wrong afterwards

As several have noted one can get around the time-based mechanic using multiple accounts. In fact, most people do this and get a 40k EP bonus to do so. To my untrained eye, running one account with double EP accumulation is less advantageous to an individual than running two or more accounts. It hardly seems destabilizing, nor does it seem any less fair than multi-boxing.
Rather than making a pointless defense of my motive, I'll simply point out that the player population is growing very slowly. This option would, indeed, allow newer players to catch up to the vets (if they don't also take advantage of it); however, it would take them years to do so. In the meantime, it would improve the financial base of the game and give newer players the perception that they are not hopelessly behind.
What does one gain by being able to buy a faster accumulation rate? More options, nothing more.

I agree, that it is always a two sided sword with the feeling of never getting up to old guys.
But the mechanism with double EP would not fit, as I pointed out, the 1 MEP-Club will be always 1MEP ahead. Think we discussed this allready a few month ago in forum.
I dont think it would be bad to have one ice a month give you a 25% speed boost. Perhaps even allow one ice to pay for two or three months of no ep generation.

no ptw please. The reason I get to sub games to avoid this PTW situations. If sub games started going PTW, i don't know what to play anymore. As it stands, longer players should be more powerful than new players period. The ep system I think is great now. Keeps us motivated to check in game and see what extensions we can upgrade. With boosters, I see the game dying.

but, but, perpetuum is almost pay2win. the more accounts you can pay, the more you win - at least for pve noone can deny that fact.
the limit is how many accounts your PC can run at a time
and the motivation to check the game just to see which extensions you can raise fades away after a while, especially when every next extensionlevel takes you to wait for 4-8 weeks for a tiny improvement.
so yeah, booster of any kind would make you reach that point faster.
After that, you have reached the point where the game only offers you two things to do: grind the same stuff in PvE to lose it in PvP.
Dont you realize the game already has this? if you dont pay for the game with ICE (or real money directly) you get no EP accumulation, if you then use ICE your EP accumulation increases by 1EP/min

This idea is great. Not only should I be able to double my EP accumulation if I use two ICE-s instead of one, but it shouldn't be hard-capped at all. If I spend 5 ICE on my account, I want 5 EP per minute!
