Eve: If there is a trial account connected then there can be no live accounts connected from the same IP address

Perpetuum: Any amount of accounts no matter their type can connect from the same IP.

Pros of EVE system: Stops trial scouts or multi-trials at the same time.

Cons of EVE system: Stops or limits some friends playing together.

Trail accounts are for new players to try out the game. Gate scouts is not their intended use.

Forbid the teleports usage to trials, limit their movement area to 5km from the starter terminal f.e.?

just make sitting around a teleporter dangerous. no intended game mechanic asks you to be around a teleporter for more then a few minutes.

+1 I agree, the tp's in norhoop have been scouted by trial accounts for months

Since the creation of trial accounts has never meant to be for abusement (in this case "arkhe gate scouts")
I think, its a problem that should get solved wheter someone likes it the way it is, or not.
Since the only thing I can program, are CNC machines, I really can´t say what solution is less effort, but every effort should be worth solving.

Some ideas that could help:

- disabling any sounds within a certain radius from a teleport
  scouts need to at least look (from time to time) whats happening at the teleports.
- reduce heavily the radar strenght within a certain radius from a teleport
  scouts can´t just sit within the instant jumping range and see anything moving from 1-2km

solutions above can go with the lore as teleports concentrate large portions of energy creating interferences.

Some kind of balancing is still needed within that solutions, to not affect actual (non-abusive gameplay) too much.

- as someone has mentioned above, trial accounts should not be able to get launched multiple times and simultanously with a payed account from the same IP (many other abuses would have been solved)

There sure are lots of other possibilities, solving the trial account abuse, but imo these 3 fit in best with (I hope) not very much effort from the developers side.

We have to remember though, that Trial accounts are also for players that are new to Perp, changing the in-game mechanics to limit those accounts is 180 degrees opposite the direction many players felt those trials needed to go to entice those new players to subscribe.

The occurances where a player will run a subscribed and a trial account from the same IP are fewer, but also could be legitament where players are adding a real second, third or other account.

I'd say if anything, limiting by IP would be the less invasive method, but the ability to monitor, detect, and block will take effort to develop, actually any response to this will take some type of effort.

One limitation to in-game mechanic trial accounts, if there are any, should be they can't be on the "probe" list, that will prevent trial accounts created for gate watching after probes are reintroduced.

OR no trial accounts out side of the alpha 1 islands.... problem fixed.
